How can I deal with my nosey neighbor?
My next door neighbor is a stay at home mom. She is so nosey, I can't stand it! Her house is elevated to the point where she can see completely into our backyard. And the city won't allow me to put a higher fence. She's always outside in the front or back, depending on where sh can be to snoop and spy on anyone. Not only is she a nosey snoop, but she loves to gossip to other neighbors about anything and everything she likes to nit-pick at. Her and her husband have this self-righteous ego and make sure that their yard, among other things, is better than everyone elses. Whenever I'm outside working on the backyard, she's out there pretending to be doing something, but is obviously snooping. If I'm in the front, she does the same thing. Me and my family are hispanic... and they are caucasian. We sometimes feel like they look down on us and are prejudice. We keep our yard clean and cut weekly and have no problems with the other neighbors, in fact, we get along great with them. On top of all this, my next door neighbor also has this need to know personal things that are going on and has the tendancy to ask personal and private questions. Now... her kids are asking my kids personal questions... almost as if they are trying to find something wrong with us, or trying to get information to pick at us over. We try to ignore her, but is continues. One day she was laying out sun tanning in a modest one piece bathing suit. When I stepped out in my backyard, she quickly got up and acted like I was invading her privacy. Remember there is no privacy back there, so why would she even attempt to layout, I don't know. Then there was another time when I was in my backyard cutting my grass. There is no doubt in my mind that she knew I was out there... because it is something that cannot be missed. Well, she was out in her backyard with her back to me and lifted her skirt, where I could see her thong. Is something wrong with this person? All I want is for her to mind her own business and stop snooping into our business. All I want is for her to also stop nit-picking at us and gossipping to others about this or that, that she doesn't like about us. And I want her to stoop asking us personal and private questions. I've already put up lattice since the problems started with her always looking into our backyard. But she always tries to find other ways to snoop. Are there any suggestions on how to deal with this problem?

Do nothing and enjoy the view man. You know how many dudes dream of seeing a naked woman out of the window? We envy you my man, envy indeed. Unless she's ugly, if so, get some curtains. Even moreso if the husband starts to join and flops his sausage around. No one needs to see that.
What can I do about neighbor's bad sewer smell?
We have been renting a duplex for about 4 months now. About a month ago we smelled a rotten egg odor in the air. Then we had the gas line inspected for leaks. However, the inspector informed us that there was no leak but that the foul odor was from our neighbors septic tank. We told our landlady but she refused to accept the inspectors words. She also manages the neighbors house. The smell is everywhere now. It comes and goes. The poor window treatment causes the odor to come inside our home. I get nauseous and dizzy from it which doesn't help the fact that I am 33 weeks pregnant. I'm also worried for my two small children. Is there anything that can be done? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Wow. Who died and made you the evil cop? Smoking marijuana used to be legal for thousands of years until someone thought of a bigger scheme to support a prison system that did nothing but made US the laughing stock on earth with the highest prisoners count on planet earth. Like they say, good fences made good neighbors, if the fence wouldn't block out the smell then walk inside. Your neighbors are smoking in the privacy of their backyard and you should respect that. That's the law defining property lines so people can enjoy a private life as long as they are not cooking up meth or made their houses into drug factories. Also, please take in consideration that USA is changing its views about marijuana. Colorado, Oregon, Alaska, Washington has legalized the use of cannabis and they are being followed by many others. California has long allowing medical marijuana as a pain relieve medicine for cancer patients. Please spare the law enforcement and personal embarrassment calling the police. Personally, I know of a few friends in the law enforcement who smoke regularly to relieve job stress. I have been around people who are smokers for several decades and never once I see them hurting anybody. It's time to get the record straight that smoking marijuana is not a real crime but a scapegoat of the so called "War on drugs" that has done more harm than good for the society. Scandinavians were smart of never banning marijuana. Now that's what I called a developed country with developed minds.
The neighbor's cat bit me and punctured the skin. The cat has cancer in the last stage?
You can't get the cancer, but there are other germs to worry about. If it starts looking infected, or gets a red line coming from the bite area, GO to the DOCTOR. A friend of mine was bit by a cat and ended up in the hospital for two weeks due to Staph infection.
My neighbor brags constantly. Can I have some great advice?
I know this sounds crazy, but I have a neighbor who from time to time we run into each other. Usually I like this person, but lately he just brags about things that kind of get under my skin. Yesterday I saw this man and said hello. He asked me if I got a new car ( no mine is in the body shop and the gave me a Mercedes loaner) . He asked me about the damage on my car, and said "shouldn't they total it at $2000? My car is a 1994 Miata, perfect condition. I advised him no, the car is worth more of course, it's almost a classic... He said, well my SUV is paid off and I am thinking of buying a MB. I said good for you, the one I had was a gas hog, and of course my car has been paid off for years.. he continued into a story about how his friend who owns a Rolls Royce took him out for his birthday etc etc etc. He furthered to bring up a couple of neighbors who are in financial crisis and about to loose thier units. I told him I am most thnakful that this is NOT happening to me and that I am totally blessed to be in a recession proof line of work.. he continued to yadda about financials of neighbors. Truth be it, all who live in our condo building make about the same living. I have seen the inside of this mans house. It's filthy and filled to the brime with crap. No, he isn't a millionaire, he is a manager at the local Marriott. How can I curb the bragging that occurs??
