Baby Grunting Pushing And A Lot Of Loose Bm What Can It Be

Why does my baby grunt?

The grunting thing is just her learning about her body, pretty soon those grunts will turn to cooing which will turn to babbling and so on...very normal.

As for the hair I was so scared when my son came out with more hair on his body that on his head but it is all gone. I would say most of it was gone by 3 months on his ears was closer to 5 months. I let my son play on the floor a lot and it seemed to help because he was moving and the hairs were rubbing on his clothes and stuff

Why is my stomach growling but I'm not hungry?

Mine does the same thing, I believe it is because of what you eat. I have grown accustomed to it over the years but when I want it to not be present (dates, sleeping with people, somewhere quiet) then I eat olives, I have found that they do wonders for settling of the stomach.I believe it is related to gas inside your body, another hint is to not hold in passing gas (farts, burping) that has helped me and I hope these help you.

Baby not pooping without suppository?

hi, I'm wondering if anyone else expereinced this. My child pooped every diaper for the first 3 weeks of life and then stopped pooping unless we give a glycerin suppository which has been advised by our doctor as a temporary solution to what he calls a temporary problem. There is sometimes a small smear in the diaper but nothing else until we do the suppository - which works great because a bunch of stuff comes out but makes me nervous because I feel like I'm tampering with mother nature. The baby was born about 5 weeks early and after getting out of the hospital gained weight very quickly. He was getting breastmilk and supplemental formula in the hospital but for the past 3 weeks has only had breastmilk - which seems confusing to me since I've read that breastfed babies are rarely constipated. Our doc says that it is proabbly just that his system hasn't caught up with his rapid weight gain yet and that he will grow out of this problem. Sounds like it may be related to both the volume of food his system has to process and maybe the nerves and muscles down there aren't working great yet??? Anyone else had this - baby poops for a while and then stops, doc advises suppositories, baby grows out of it with no long-term consequences? FYI - we do the suppository only when he seems incredibly uncomfortable, about once every 2 days.

Also, if we were to give our baby a bit of juice, what is the best to give? some docs seem to prescribe apple, others prune, others pear...

Breastfed baby issues...?

It’s NORMAL for breastfed babies to go a week without a dirty diaper. Breast milk is so perfect that the baby can use every bit of it creating no waste to eliminate. As long as she’s wetting diapers she’s fine.

Constipation refers to the texture of the poop, not how often she poops. If when she goes it’s liquid and runny, she’s FINE. If she pooped and it was hard, like pellets or adult poop, then she’s constipated—which is extraordinarily rare in exclusively breastfed babies.

As for the grunting, that’s normal too. She’s brand new and is just now digesting food; you need to give time for her system to work.

PLEASE stop trying to make her do something she doesn’t need to do. Her body is perfect! If she goes more than 8 days without pooping, call the doctor. Just last week my 12 week old went 5 days without pooping. When it did come it was an explosion!

As for the spit-up, it varies from baby to baby. As long as she’s gaining weight, which you said she was, then there is absolutely no need to worry. The sphincter that closes off her tummy is a little weak right now. As she gets older it will get better, I promise. My first baby would spit up what seemed like the entire feeding, but he was gaining weight. So again, her spit up? NORMAL.

For now, relax, you have a healthy baby on your hands!

Why would an infant cry before he poops?

Often babies get abdominal cramping before pooping..as do adults, its from the intestines contracting to push the bm out. Do not worry this is very common and is not harmful to baby. If the poo becomes hard balls like rabbit poo or is an unusual color for your baby then consult your pediatrician.

Why do I discharge sperm like fluid when pooping sometimes?

I assume you mean from your rectum. That would be rectal mucus, the mucosal lining of the rectum that consists of the dead epithelial cells and other matter that helps lubricate the passage of feces through the colon. It has nothing to do with semen or sperm, and if you inspect it carefully, you'll notice it has very different consistency, much more like snot.
