Back Pain Should I Be Worried Re-post

I have been having lower back pain for almost a month now after one workout that I did not recover from. Should I be worried?

After a month of pain I would definitely be a little concerned.  First step would be to get it checked out by a doctor or chiropractor.  Until you can manage to get there, some light stretches would be great.  Lay on your back and bring one knee to your chest and leave the other leg straight out.  Hold that position and pull your knee in tight and take controlled breaths, then stretch the other side.  Do the same thing with both knees tucked. The other great stretch would be to put your arms straight out to the sides, and reach with your left leg to your right hand, and hold.  Then perform the same on the other side. These may not be the thing to fix it, and should only be used if you can't get to a doctor's office sooner rather than later.  If you're experiencing acute pain, then that's a particularly dangerous point to be in.  Get to the doctor as soon as possible.

Is lower back pain common in early pregnancy?

I will be 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow but I have been having a little lower back pain today. It's not horrible, but it's kind of like the back aches you get during PMS. I just want to make sure it isn't a sign of anything bad. In July I had a miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks, so now that I'm approaching that time again, I'm getting nervous. Any advice would help! Thanks!

Repost, bad pains at 23w, please read :/?

I posted earlier and got 1 answer. Im 23w4d with #2. I have this horrible pain in my back on my left side thats constant, so painful it makes me hold my breath. the past hr maybe ive started to get them here and there in my stomach. I dont think its ligament pains. Only thing I did was do some cleaning, did sit down every so often too. When the pain started I sat down, watched tv and had a drink. I was feeling fine so I got up for a snack, I cut an apple and then the pain started up again. Idk what it is, any ideas? I plan on relaxing today and my docs closed tomorrow. Thoughts? Im not too worried but should I be? Thanks :)

Chest pains after stomach flu?

Chest pain when breathing like that is probably a result of abdominal and chest wall muscle strain caused by the vomitting.. Its not common, but it has an obvious source. Combine that with the (temporary) acid damage to her esophagus, and theres really a good chance its just strain. If she's never thrown up that much before, it is really painful.

And sometimes when yo uthorw up you can accidentally.. 'inhale' stomach acid into your lungs. this is not normally harmful, but it hurts like hell.

If you're worried about heart pain, there are a couple things that would make it unlikely: Is the pain sharp? If so, its not heart pain. Heart pain is dull and crushing. The second is, can she point to where it hurts? If she can, its not heart pain.

But really, use best judgement here. Im clearly not a doctor. But from what I do know of my own chest pain, she's probably just feeling like crap from throwing up that much.

Is it bad if my back hurts from always sitting straight?

Before I get into the answer, I actually posted an article that mentions how yoga can cause back pain. You can read it by clicking here, and it may give you some insight before you read the rest of this post. Now, the next question I would ask, is where is the pain? Upper back/neck? Lower back? Many clients come to me and tell me that it hurts their back more when they sit up straight. So you're not alone.I know it sounds confusing, I know, but here's a possible reason why...See, when people think about good posture, what do they think of?Chest up!Back straight!Shoulders back and down!Which can all be good little "cues" for better posture, but the actual results could be much more painful than what you're hoping for.For example, I could say "chest up," and you take that to mean "arch your back"I could say "back straight," and you could take that to mean "stick your chin out"Or, "shoulders back" could be taken as "bend your arms at an odd angle to your sides"Any one of the above three cues could cause back pain.If you're putting yourself in an awkward position because you think you're improving your posture, well, it's not really improving your posture. An ideal posture looks something like this:Looking at the picture, the figure has:- ears over the shoulders, shoulders over hips, hips over knees, knees over ankles.- arms are straight down at the sides, not "cocked" back with bent elbows.- lower back is slightly arched, not flat or over-extended.That last one is the main reason why most folks (and probably yourself) are getting themselves in more pain when trying to correct their posture. So, when self-analyzing your posture, and trying to fix it, ask yourself a few questions:- Is my chin jutting out, or is my neck in line (ears over shoulders)?- Are my arms hanging relaxed at my sides, or are my shoulders rolled forward and elbows pulled back?- Is my lower back over-arched, or relatively flat?Give yourself a quick check, and let me know if it helps take some of your pain away.Hope this helps,-BradP.S. - there’s a free resource you can get that provides you with a whackload of programs to suit your needs. How do you know if you're getting a hunchback?

Posture is everything you may not understand where the pain is coming from or why my suggestion to you would to get on an elderly site for seniors that promotes exercise take it slow until you build the strength back into those muscles that have become weak or try searching for back exercises .Woman need to worry about all kind of bone and muscle issues most are caused from weakness. Eat vegetables to get your vitamins and not as much on milk as they use to..Sit up as long as you can align your chin with your pelvic bone.

Dealing With Pain Advice- Post Appendectomy Surgery Pain?

Rest for a few days is what you need right now!! You can always try icing the affected area for 15 mins. This should numb the area for a while. I wouldn't recommend using heat, being it's only been a day since surgery.

By moving around too much, you're only making it worse. I know you want to get back to "normal" as soon as possible, but you just had surgery, and your body needs to rest for a few days!

Hope this helps & feel better soon.
