Bad Thought Stuck In My Mind Help

How do you get a thought that is stuck in your mind to go away?

Hello Michele,Thank you for your request to answer this question.First I need to say, the question you created, is constructed in a way that is impossible to answer. You build a paradox by using the word stuck in mind, because if it is really stuck you cannot get rid of it.Now what I hear you saying is, how do I allow thoughts to pass by without giving them my attention. Now this is possible and it happens all the time for you. Here is a method you can try out:The desire is to be able to allow everything not relevant, to pass by.The knowledge needed is, that everything that was not in your mind to begin with, will pass again. The skill you can practice to see this, experience this and find the rest needed is as follows:Practice to pay attention to your breathing, just put all attention on the movement, feeling and happening of the breath in the body. While thoughts will still occur, come to mind, you practice to and train your attention to focus on the breath. The breath is a great aid, as it happens naturally all the time since thebirth of the body. Do not force the breath practice to let go and simply notice.Start with 1 min at a time, begin with a conscious deep breath, let go and relax.Over the next 21 days you must develop the skill on a daily basis, min. 10 times with 1 minute noticing, increase slowly to 5.min. Then 10 mon. Until you reach up to 15 min.The habit which will be beneficial for your desire is to pay attention to your breath 15 min. Morning and evening, preferable upon waking up and before going to bed. After consistent practice over the next 30 days up to 42 days, you will notice the effect in your daily life without conscious effort on your part. Thoughts and feelings will not have the samme pull and stickiness as you now believe them to have.Enjoy and remember for your next question, spend some quality time constructing the question so your intuition can cmOme up with a solution for you.Are you curious or interrsted in learning to use your intuition and achieve mental health with a mind trainer and online course. Please message me at :Brianjacobsen@amindforyou.comYou can also check out the website:A Mind For YouA Mind For YouAnd lastly if this answer benefitted you or anyone else reading this,Please donate to keep my ability to do such a service atPaypal: amindforyou@gmail.comSend Money, Pay Online or Set Up a Merchant Account - PayPalThank you,Much love,Brian Jacobsen

Keep having disturbing thoughts in my head?

Over the past 2-3 years I've been having some horrible thoughts in my head. These thoughts are much worse at times when I'm in a bad mood. The thoughts I have are really hard to shake off when I get them, and cause some distress to me. I haven't really told my family about it because they'll think I'm mad.
Some of the thoughts I get are:
- An urge to swear/punch someone who is talking to me, even though they haven't done anything wrong.
- When I'm asked to read aloud in class, I get a massive impulse to swear at loud
- Whenever I see a knife lying on the counter in my kitchen, I have to put it in the sink because I get an impulse to cut myself/someone else.
- Before I go to bed I have to make sure everything is off of the floor and make sure everything is perfect. If I don't do this, it will stay in my mind and I'll get a thought that tells me: "If you don't do this you'll have nightmares tonight" or "something bad will happen close to you".

Sometimes I'll get even worse thoughts than this, I'll get "images" in my head about people being killed in horrible ways, and bad things happening to the people I love. These thoughts can bother me when I'm in bed trying to sleep, and it can keep me awake as I do not want bad dreams about these bad situations. To not have bad dreams about the bad situations, I have to keep telling myself that I won't have bad dreams. It works most of the time, but it can be a chore doing it every night, as I just want to fall asleep. This happens with the thought where I have to make sure everything is perfect before bed.

I don't want to think of these thoughts (I could never hurt anyone) but I find that I keep thinking about them to try and wear the bad thoughts out until they don't bother me anymore. It doesn't work, and these thoughts still bother me.

Does anyone know what I may be experiencing?

Does the devil put negative thoughts in our minds?

there is no devil. that's a scapegoat for your own bad thoughts and mistakes. you're in denial....stop it
