They are worthless. The promoter has you stand upright and pulls/pushes you. Of course your body is not fully prepared to resist the the applied force and you "lose" your balance. He then places a bracelet on your wrist and performs the same motion. This time you do not lose your balance and he tells you it's because of the "power" of the bracelet. What a CROCK. If he repeated the motion the second time without the bracelet you would still NOT lose your balance. The physiologic term is called "recruitment"...you are prepared to resist the second one with or without the bracelet.

I'm thinking about buying one but it's pretty expensive for just a little bracelet. I've done so much research and 50% of people say it works and the other 50 say it's just a scam. I've read that the Power Balance company has no scientific evidence to back it up. Some people say that the tests that they do only work because you know what's coming and it's all just a placebo. The ACCC claims that the bands help you as much as wearing a rubber band. And even if it doesn't work, the placebo certainly enhances your performance. I've also seen many pro athletes such as Kobe Bryant wear them during games. What are your thoughts on this?

LifeStrength is a new balance bracelet maker that really sets themselves away from the scam makers like Power Balance and EFX.
