How expensive is a private baseball field?
I guess it depends on what you want included in the baseball field and where you want to build it. Estimates for a minor league quality baseball field locally (in wet Texas) run about $1.5M for the field, lighting and ancillary stuff so two teams can play ball.LaGrave Field - Fort Worth CatsIn 2002 a group of baseball enthusiasts built a new facility for the Fort Worth Cats, a now defunct independent league team. They sited New LaGrave Field in the same location as the original LaGrave field called home near downtown Fort Worth. The field and surrounding parking and associated facilities cost $4M.Inflation likely raises that cost to around $6M today. If you’re thinking of building I recommend going to Fort Worth and saving that historic location. These things should not be lost to vandals.
