Has anyone developed a successful artificial intelligence?

Too broad or too narrow a question so here's a broad answer (borrowed from Wikipedia)Brain-inspiredBlue Brain Project, an attempt to create a synthetic brain by reverse-engineering the mammalian brain down to the molecular level.Google Brain A deep learning project part of Google X attempting to mimic human-level intelligence.NuPIC, an open source implementation by Numenta of its cortical learning algorithm.Cognitive architectures4CAPS, developed at Carnegie Mellon University under Marcel A. JustACT-R, developed at Carnegie Mellon University under John R. Anderson.AIXI, Universal Artificial Intelligence developed by Marcus Hutter at IDSIA and ANU.CALO, a DARPA-funded, 25-institution effort to integrate many artificial intelligence approaches (natural language processing, speech recognition, machine vision, probabilistic logic, planning, reasoning, many forms of machine learning) into an AI assistant that learns to help manage your office environment.CHREST, developed under Fernand Gobet at Brunel University and Peter C. Lane at the University of Hertfordshire.CLARION the cognitive architecture, developed under Ron Sun at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and University of Missouri.CoJACK, an ACT-R inspired extension to the JACK multi-agent system that adds a cognitive architecture to the agents for eliciting more realistic (human-like) behaviors in virtual environments.Copycat, by Douglas Hofstadter and Melanie Mitchell at the Indiana University.DUAL, developed at the New Bulgarian University under Boicho Kokinov.EPIC, developed under David E. Do unmarried military officers live in the barracks?

I can't speak for overseas personally, but it is exceedingly difficult to find on post housing of any kind as a single officer. All commissioned and warrant officers are granted BAH, whether they have dependants or not. The BAH is what they use to pay for housing. There are usually family housing areas on post, but not so much for single officers. I bought a house, though many rent (either alone or with roommates). I do know one person who did get into some on post housing, but it was only because there was a ton of available space. Typically, that isn't the preferred route, because you can usually find a place for less than what you get paid BAH. If you live on post, they take your whole BAH, but if you live off post and can find a place for 700 and your BAH is 1200, you can keep the extra 500.

For someone traveling from India to Schengen countries, is it better to get a Matrix SIM card from India (which will cost around 3000 for 100 minutes and 250MB data) or should one get a SIM card from Europe upon landing at the airport?

I would personally suggest buying a SIM card upon reaching Europe. Matrix Ones are expensive and may not be the best. You can get a ‘Free Mobile’ SIM which offers free roaming across entire Europe except Switzerland. This comes in both prepaid and postpaid. Free mobile has wifi options at various prominent places which the users are entitled to use it for free beyond the data usage they offer you. If you opt for postpaid, you can get free calls to anywhere in Europe, from any place along with 50 GB of data per month. The cost is 20 EUR (Rs. 1500 approx) per month. I am sure there are other good operators like Virgin Mobile which might have similar plans. You can visit their European websites if you want to know the latest information and tariffs.

What's a reasonable hourly labor rate for an auto mechanic, and what factors contribute to that rate?

I’ve paid various pricesm guessing from $50 to $85.example 0: City of San Francisco - 2003 replace doo-dad in transmission, they looked up the “hours to replace doo-dad” in a reate-book or sort, the book said 12 so they charged me 12 hours. It could have taken em 5h or 15h, but they charged me 12 hours. Labor rate was $85/hour.example 1: San Jose 2014, 30k miles ago - Replace head gasket on an inline-6 engine. The shop is certainly all about car repair - the office is a small room filled with parts and whatnot. Headgasket + head rebuild (machined and cleaned) + new oil + new coolant + parts + labor was $1500 total before tax. Dealer would be $3–$4k (I did not even check, quoting those numbers from an online forum). So for the work, guessing even $500 for parts, then $1000 labor for machining, head rebuild, and replacement, I am certain it was more than 10 hours, so less than $100/hour in labor. Guessing 15 hours, thats around $70/hour.As others have said, it really depends. KEy is find a shop that values you, and they’ll take care of you as a customer.

Wisdom Teeth: How long does it take for gum tissue to close over an open socket?

That process should take up to 3 months, even four or five because you are healing by "Secondary intention". There are two types of healing, primary intention and secondary intention. Primary is fast, secondary is slow.In primary intention a clot forms in the hole and the gum grows across the top of the clot. This can happen in just 2 weeks. Later the enclosed blood clot turns into bone. Presto chango! In secondary intention the clot is lost and so the gum has to grow right down to the bottom of the hole and up the other side. Then bone comes in from the bottom and fills up the hole. This takes about 3 - 6 months. So hang in there are do your best and one day you will realise that it is done. All finished.

Is 61,000 euros a good salary in Stuttgart, Germany? I am married and have a 2-year-old child.

For salary comparisons, you can use PayScale - Salary Comparison, Salary Survey, Search Wages. It will compare based on common factors such as the job/position/company and your own worth in the employment pool (skills, experience). The point is, can the salary maintain what you comfortably have back home? Moreover, the most expensive thing about Stuggart is the rents. Once you have that accounted for most other things are pretty decent value. If you can spend only HALF of your salary for rental, and save other HALF for transportation, groceries, recreation, apparel and utilities then it’s likely you can live comfortably. That being said, the best way to make it worth is whether your lifestyle can match the same way as your own lifestyle in your home country. You use this World Cost of Living Calculator spreadsheet. It calculates based on your own lifestyle spending not generic spending.Reference / download : World Cost of Living Calculator spreadsheet (crowdsourced data)
