Does true love breakup? If it breaks up, is it true love?
There is no true love. There is enduring love but circumstance can change that. People’s personalities can change and their interests and emotional needs can change too. Love is a fluke, people that think it is a forever thing, or think they can make it last or force it to exist are delusional. It is as fleeting and temporal as any other thing on the planet, and can die in an instance like every other thing on the planet. People who have found a good mate, that makes them happy and supports their life in any way are fortunate and have accommodated the relationship sensibly to reap the benefits. Maybe they chose well, knowing what they needed and what worked for them. But here is no perfect deal, that’s a fantasy that makes it hard for reasonable people to find a mate, because so many are looking for perfection, and short of that, control and domination.
What do you think about Buddhism?
I was Buddhist for a while and still closely associate myself with its teachings and philosophy. I found a connection with it and found it to provide the most rational answers to my many questions in this life. It's not a perfect religion, but it's the closest thing that I have experienced. I love it.
