Being Rich In A Poor Country Or Wealthy Country

Which country went from being very wealthy to very poor?

Venezuela.During the 50s to the early 90s, Venezuela was one of the best economies in America (The continent) It was probably the most promising economy in all Latin America and compared to the other Latin American countries, we had the best education, public health and GDP. The poor had chances. The poor could stop being poor. I know this because both my parents were raised in poor households and both went to the public school system. Yet they never went hungry, could vacation (Inside the country) and finally did it into the best universities. By age 20 and 30, they both became middle class and by age 30 and 40 they were upper class. Now you see in Venezuela, the minimum wage is at 10$ a month, public schools are brainwashing machines that support the idea of human rights violations, streets are destroyed and children starve to death. But back in the good old days, this was Venezuela.

What is it like to be rich in a poor country?

When I was about 10, my entire family moved to Madagascar, which is considered one of the poorest countries in the world. Our family has never been by any means rich, in fact we would probably be considered poor by US standards, but when we got there it was like we jumped into the rich category. Suddenly we could afford a two story house in a 'rich' neighborhood with a garden, fence, and gate. We had a babysitter, cook, laundress, guards, chauffeur and a maid. We had two very nice cars and our chauffeur drove us to school and back everyday. We could go to the market and buy pretty much anything we wanted. Looking back on it, I don't think I ever realized how much of a lifestyle change it was, especially in a place where most families could not afford to send their children to school because they needed them to work. It was wonderful while it lasted, which was only for a couple years until we moved back to the US.  I think the most important thing I learned while there was the true nature of wealth. I definitely think that period of wealth has affected my goals for the future. I think I am not as cautious with money any more, and to me it has less value than it did to me when we were poor. We are poor now, so this definitely is a problem for me now since I am not good at conserving money anymore. Before I didn't really care much for money either, until you realize how nice it is to have it, but maybe that was because I was young then. I think I am more financially driven in my career choices too, probably because I want to rise to that kind of lifestyle again someday.

Why some countries are poor and others rich?

why some countries are very rich that they can even build anything they want easily without difficulties whether its spaceship or huge Aircraft carrier , or big new cities , or multi billion dollar companies and others are very poor that they cant even build 1km road for their people ,

please explain this to me very well ,

and if we look back the old days of the most richest countries on earth , we can see that they were also very poor in the past like 200 years ago and even some rich countries were very poor around 60 years ago but right now are very rich

and some countries were very poor countries around 200 years ago and still are very poor , why they are not developing, what is holding them back ,
thank you very much

Is Germany a rich or a poor country?

Germany has the 3rd largest ecomony in the world. In simple terms this means Gemany is the 3rd richest country in the world and statistically the richest in Europe.

Germany is a very affulent nation, and has always had the capacity to be. In fact, if it wasn't for WW1, Germany would have challenged Britain's superpower status at the beginning of the 20th century because when the nation first began, it gew rapidly and became very wealthy, very quickly.

The USA has troops stationed all over the world in nations which are unstable (like South Korea or Israel) or allies (like the UK). Germany is an ally of the USA, and because Germany is so influential and and a central nation in Europe, the US should be keen to keep a good relationship with Germany - it would help with communication with the EU in general as well. The US may even still have troops stationed there from back in the Cold War era when Germany was split between Britain, France, the USA and Russia after WW2.
