What is remedy for chronic fatigue syndrome. i need energy real bad?

i find myself sleeping 14 hours a day. body feels awfully tired. i'm 35 male and have had this condition for the past 2 years. applied for social security disability but got denied. yet the doctor is of no help. and my quality of life is deteriorating. i also have IBS.

How can I remove mental tiredness?

Not entirely certain what exactly you mean? Do you mean when you have overused your brain and want to switch off and can’t? Or do you mean you have had too many worries to deal with and just can not deal with it all any more? In both cases, you simply need to stop using it, switch off phone, laptop, tv. Put on some lovely classical music, or other music of your choice and really think about it and get into it as it washes over you. Another good thing is to take a walk if it isn’t raining and try to concentrate on the birdsong you hear or other sounds, even city sounds, so long as your mind is somewhere other than where it became so overloaded. Many people would tell you to go swimming, exercise at the gym, ride a bike - but you will know if this is for you or not, although it can help a lot. It creates endorphins that are happy feelings and can relieve tension.Other people take a long, hot bubble bath and soak tension away or perhaps enjoy a massage. All these things can help - so long as you switch off your intense train of thought, and that takes discipline. This discipline can be learnt through Yoga or meditation. You need a good teacher or a good class and then you can chat with other people after the class and unwind a bit more through that interaction.I do wish you well in your quest for I do know that mental exhaustion is just as distressing if not more so than physical tiredness. Physical aches can be bathed or rested away. Our minds are difficult to control and switch off and therefore relaxing your mind takes more thought and planning to achieve relaxation.

Fatigue: Why do people get tired while travelling?

There are several physiological reasons.tl;dr Travelling is stressful on the body, and stress can make you tired or fatigued. Most travelling involves sitting. Sitting is not as "easy" on the body as one might expect, especially when the seat is not ergonomic. For example, in an airline seat, I have insufficient lower back support, the seatpan is too deep, and my legs can't quite reach the ground. My muscles never relax. Taller people usually have to hold their legs at awkward angles. These minor things add up to a lot of muscle strain and stress. Most forms of travel are noisy. Noise activates our stress hormones. So just sitting there is no longer a relaxing, low stress activity. Instead, your body is in a prolonged stressful state which takes it toll after a while. There are several medical studies on noise, stress, and fatigue which basically say noise is bad for humans.Passenger areas of cars, airplanes, trains, bicycles, boats, etc are rarely at an "optimal" temperature. Even with "climate control" and other advanced features in my car, I find that I'm constantly too warm or too cold as the direction of the sun changes or the ambient temperature changes. Common carriers seem to have an uncanny ability to pick a temperature that is awful for everyone. This too increases stress and your body's energy consumption as it tries to adapt. For land-based travel, a lot of people don't wear proper eye protection (i.e. polarized sunglasses) and are exposed to constant glare--whether from sun or headlights. This causes eye fatigue and stress. It's also very distracting. There's also a significant psychological factor of that travelling is distracting. Even if you try to sit quietly reading your favorite book, your brain is constantly filtering out distractions like engine or road noise, other passengers, honking horns, etc. This is called directed attention fatigue.

How do you NOT commit suicide with chronic fatigue?

CFS is very debilitating. What makes it harder is that there are few external symptoms that people can see. I had to take time off work because I felt like passing out if I stood for more than 5 minutes. My spouse said that I was just being lazy. The worst thing is when she would say somthing idiotic like, "yeah, I went to bed late last night and now I feel tired too..."

So you're not alone. There is no cure, but it can get better by itself over time. Also, at least for me, I can have good periods when I am pretty much symptom-free for a couple of months. It does come back with a vengeance, though.

What helps me is always going to bed at the same time and getting lots of rest, eating healthily, doing light exercise. Also, have you tried Citalopram? (may have different name where you live; google it). None of these things have cured my CFS, but they take the edge off it.

I am getting pretty tired of CFS too. The worst symptoms are the flu-like fever, the aches and pains and just feeling ill.
