Best And Worst Horror Movies You Have Seen

The worst horror movie you've seen?

the birds...........
i thought it was funny instead of scary

What is the best horror movie you have seen so far in 2019?

If you mean so far in 2019 as only movies that have come out this year, I would say Us.Jordan Peele has done Get Out and recently Us and to say it's incredible is an understatement. It is a visually unique experience and the concept is so interesting and well explored. I loved it. It's a movie that makes you go home and think. You'll be talking about this movie with your friends and family for days telling each other the different things that you noticed that end up connecting. It's an incredible experience and one I recommend.Another movie coming out in 2019 that I do plan on seeing is the Pet Sematary remake but it hasn't released yet so I can't say much except that I'm excited and I hope it's good.

What is the worst horror movie you have seen?

Raaz 3 "If Bipasha Basu had a career, it would be ruined. But since she doesn't, there's little that this film can take away from her. Her character isn't possessed but that doesn't stop her from rolling on the floor or laughing deliriously or doing anything that would suggest an unsound mind.It all goes downhill from there, with love, revenge and blackmail mixed up with aatma-rescuing priests, phone-using zombies  and a Matrix-like world of spirits you can go in and out of. At one point, it feels like someone put the script for another Murder sequel in the blender with horror set pieces.Raaz 3 has more laugh-out-loud moments than jump-in-your-seat jolts. At one point during a poignant revelation, Esha Gupta delivers this classic gem: “Bachcha aur kutta sirf pyaar ka bhookha hota hai.” In another scene, while trying desperately to calm down a hysterical woman who’s just seen a ghost, Emraan Hashmi resorts to his ever-reliable formula – he shoves his tongue down her throat! I mean c'mon dude really....

What are some of the best and worst horror movies?

I’ll avoid obvious answers you may have already heard as the best like The Thing (1982) and Alien (1979), cause those are on every list.To me, one of the best is The Cabin in the Woods (2012).In short, The Cabin in the Woods is a great parody of other horror movies, and it even goes as far as to criticize the common horror cliques that have plagued modern horror. I’ve never seen a horror do these things so well and this is still one of my favorite horror movies ever. Also, as with all the movies on this list, it’s best if you go into this knowing as little as possible. You will be pleasantly surprised.Another one of the best horror movies is Green Room (2015).Ok, technically this isn’t actually a horror movie, but it certainly feels like it. People trapped in a room, gloomy atmosphere, dark tone, gory deaths you name it. This film also does a pretty good job of subverting expectations, like for one, it actually has villains that are smart, competent people, and the victims aren’t necessarily smart or innocent and completely helpless. One last horror movie I consider to be one of the best is Eden Lake (2008).Eden Lake is yet another movie that completely went against what you would see in a standard horror movie. For one, the antagonists for this movie are teens. And they’re not unrealistic killing machines either: they’re just bad kids who make many mistakes throughout the film. And the protagonists aren’t perfect either. They do bad things, they make stupid decisions, they fuck up a lot. This movie is shrouded in realism, which to me makes this movie much more disturbing than the previous two. The movie does a very good job at toying with you’re emotions and making it hard to predict what will happen, and you start to feel sorry for both the good guys and the bad guys. Overall, very disturbing watch, and terribly underrated. The above movies are pretty good, but they become even better if you try to think about the deeper meanings and messages after watching. Really, it’s quite rewarding!I don’t know that many bad horror movies, but I do know some that are bad in a good way. The Hatchet Trillogy is really bad, but it’s actually pretty funny and has pretty good gore for such a low budget trio of movies. Poultrygeist (2006) is a really funny and extremely gory bad horror movie. And I’m sure you already know about the awfully bad Birdemic (2010) and its sequel. Out of these I’d probably pick Poultrygeist, but it is definitely not for the faint of heart : )

What is the worst horror movie you have ever seen that you enjoyed?

I used to watch a lot of zombie films before zombie films became fashionable (this would have been the late 70s, early 80s). Zombie films have a tendency to be really bad.So, that said I’m going to go with Walk of the Dead. I think it was released under other names as well such as La Rebelión de las muertas (Vengeance of the Zombies)(Walk of the Dead)This movie was absolutely terrible but it sure was memorable. It was filmed in London by a Spanish crew and then dubbed back to English. So you have wonderful details like an English shop sign that has Spanish subtitles as to what the sign says (or were they English subtitles - it was a long time ago). There is a scene where two men are talking. As they cut back and forth, the one man’s cigarette gets longer and shorter and longer and shorter …But the absolute best part - the part that makes the movie so absolutely awful - is that whenever something “scary” is about to happen, such as a murder with an axe, a klaxon like a submarine submerging goes off with an “Aa-woo-ga Aa-woo-ga” sound and the screen goes all red with big white letters saying “SHOCK WARNING”. Then the film cuts back to the scene with the axe embedded in the victim.Absolute rubbish but my buddy and I laughed our asses off.“Walk of the Dead” - when you want a bad film and bad is just not bad enough.Another contender would be City of the Walking Dead (also released as Nightmare City (1980)). This one is Italian. It’s pretty awful and my other buddy and I laughed so hard at the ending that people from next door wanted to know why we were making so much noise.
