Which color of dream catcher works the best?

This is a good question. First and foremost, you should know what is Dream Catcher. Dream catchers are one of the most fascinating traditions of Native Americans. The traditional dream catcher was intended to protect the sleeping individual from negative dreams while letting positive dreams through. The dream catcher has been a part of Native American culture for generations. One element of Native American dream catcher relates to the tradition of the hoop. Some Native Americans of North America held the hoop in the highest esteem because it symbolized strength and unity. Many symbols started around the hoop, and one of these symbols is the dream catcher. Native Americans believe that the night air is filled with dreams both good and bad. The dream catcher when hung over or near your bed swinging freely in the air, catches the dreams as they flow by. The good dreams know how to pass through the dream catcher, slipping through the outer holes and slide down the soft feathers so gently that many times the sleeper does not know that he/she is dreaming. The bad dreams not knowing the way get tangled in the dream catcher and perish with the first light of the new day.Based on this explanation, the color of Dream Catcher should be blue and white, symbolic of hope and pureness.Flower and Cloud Dream CatcherIts implication is to retain good dreams and blessings.Fragrant Night Light Dream CatcherThe dream catcher is hung on a tent or outside the lodge, letting the nightmare disappear with the morning sun, which can give a peaceful sleep.Handmade Linen Rope Bamboo Dream CatcherThis kind of Dream Catcher is so special and unique that can give a different and amazing experience. You can find more Dream Catcher on OOTDSHARE

What are some good catchers drills to improve on blocking and throwing?

Catching Coach: My stance is very low. Im ussually on my heels, literally, when I have a runner on base and sometimes have my right foot back a little to have a quicker release. Also what are some good drills for balls in the dirt?

Why aren't catchers the best hitters? Don't they know best how to see the ball?

Most great hitter lists are dominated by outfielders (well there are three per game so that skews the numbers) and first basemen. If you are a strong hitter with good speed, playing in the outfield you can be an assest with a glove covering a lot of ground but if you aren't a competent hitter, you are replaceable. If you aren't fast (vs. the rest of the players, not the world at-large) and have the ability to think fast, and field cleanly, first base is made for you, but a team will concede some fielding skill for hitting skill. Second, short, and third, you can be a weaker hitter if you are great with a glove. So that tends to throw the numbers off a bit. If you hit well enough a manager can be willing to hide some of your defensive limitations by placing you at first or in the outfield. So good hitters more often end up there. Now to catchers. There have been some great hitting catchers. Arguably 1-3 are Mike Piazza, Yogi Berra, and Bill Dickey though you could argue Mickey Cochrane and Johnny Bench have a solid claim for top 3. (interestingly Piazza was a first baseman who probably never makes the majors until he became skilled enough as a catcher, late in his career, they tried to play him at first and he was too weak defensively). Catchers are a different breed because not only do they need a great arm and the ability to cleanly come up with the ball, they are surrogate coach and psychologist taking care of pitchers during the game. They also take a physical pounding over the course of 162 games. A good MLB catcher is usually going to average missing one or two games out of every 10 the team plays to rest and heal up from the strain of the job.  Remember the first part about people going to other positions because they hit very well? The same comes into play for catchers. If you are a really good hitter, the manager might prefer to play you in a different position so you aren't resting (and your bat isn't in the dug out). Being a very good hitting catcher can end up meaning, not being a catcher any more.

Question for softball (slow pitch) catchers?

You have the option of using equipment or a catchers mit, but it isn't required. I would recommend a cup and a batting helmet (or catcher's helmet without the mask)--the rest is unnecessary. You can use a regular fielding glove (and probably should, since you've never used a catcher's mit). The rest of that stuff will just make you hot--the ball isn't coming fast enough to really hurt you, just look out for the bat and the occasional foul tip.

A slow pitch catcher is pretty much just the ball return for the pitcher. On many teams, the pitcher kicks the catcher off the plate and takes any plays at home. On some top teams, you'll see the catcher run to back up first base on a hit to shortstop or shallow outfield. On worse teams, it is the position that is easiest to cover (except ball return duties) by the other nine players, so it is the place to put the weakest link.

How much does dreamcatcher supply cost, best answer 10 points?

A variety pack of beads ----$3.00-4

Feathers ----------------------$2.50

Thread ------------------------$2.00

Wooden Hoop --------------$6.00 Another option is to cut some long limbs that are less than 1/4'' in diameter and is from a young tree (sapling). Take a couple of these and twist them together and form a loop. Then just tie them together at the top

If you just use suede lace to hang beads and feathers on, you won't need as much

Suede Lace -----------------$2.50

Even though it will cost more, I always enjoyed the dreamcatchers that have the hoop part wrapped in suede lace. This option would cost:
Suede Lace Spool -------- $9.99

So, for the cheapest way will cost you around $10 and a nice one will cost around $20-25.00

How do I get softer hands for catching a baseball?

You should start with playing catch with a football, from a short (10m-30ft) distance with someone who can throw with decent pace. You'll learn real quick the basics of soft hands is about recieving the ball and not trying to stop it abruptly. Once you get comfortable with catching the football, try catching off to your throwing hand side while facing perpendicular to your thrower. If you're older (15+ yrs old), I'd suggest moving to medicine balls. Same idea, catching large heavy items really forces you to focus on absorbing their momentum. Also for all ages, the "glove board" is great practice to continue soft hands progression.

Why do umpires place their hands on a catcher's back?

I've noticed this a while back, but why do umpires place their hands on a catcher's back during the pitch? I presume that it is so that they can feel which way the catcher moves...
