For chemical engineers selecting a good coaching is a very difficult task as compared to other branches where giants like made easy exist . As per my view ( AIR-40,presently working in IOCL) ,neither there is a good coaching institute for gate chemical engineering nor any good test series. All coaching institute looks for maximizing there profit by hiring low standard teachers or students pursuing m.tech.I have also received various queries regarding best test series. I will suggest better not to opt Amy test series and use last 26 years question paper as practice set. It's my personal experience that if expertise yourself in previous year question paper ,u will surely get a 2 digit rank.Many of the friends may be thinking what about the ranks which coaching institute posts after gate result every year. I want to share a incident in this regard. Last year one of my senior name babulal secured AIR 171 in gate 2016. One famous delhi based coaching The gate coach runs a facebook page gate chemical engineers where they posted that everyone comment ur rank. Babulal also commented his rank but his facebook profile is named as eklavya India . What they did is that they took the dp of most good rank commenter and his rank. For chemical engineering their are not lots of options available because few provides coaching for this streamI am an chemical engineer from IIT Roorkee and some of my juniors told me there are coachings in Delhi but out of them Career Avenues Delhi is best as they have got good faculties , study material is also pretty well structured plus they give regular practice and doubt sessions to ascertain students progress .Hope this helps
