There are so many different specializations that private dental schools offer, right from General & Pre-Dental, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene to Dental Services. So, the question is what do you find interesting? What is the best dental school in New England?

Well, there are only 4 dental schools in all of New England, and 3 of them are in eastern Massachusetts. Those are Tufts, Harvard, and BU. There is also a public school (UConn) in Connecticut where you get a discount if you're a New England resident (even if you're not a CT resident. Not a HUGE discount, but some).

Out of those 4, they are just so different that it's tough to quantify them. Harvard is best for research and dental academia, Tufts is very well-known and respected, with a large class and fancy modern stuff, BU is a relatively new program, and UConn is in a big hospital where you take classes with the med students and do a lot of "institution"-style dentistry. Totally whatever your style is!

Don't forget that Univ. at Buffalo, UPenn, SUNY Stony Brook, Temple, and the two in NYC (Columbia, NYU) are all within a few hours' drive of most of New England.

Good luck!

What are the top dental schools?

You need to ask more specific questions. What part of the world are you considering? Are you interested in how much clinical experience you get while in school? Do you want to know what the best research schools are?As it stands, your question is too vague to answer.

Which country offers the best dental schools?

Some of the best dental schools are spread across the world. However, a lot of them would be in the US, Canada and Singapore. This is not because the students are brighter or the curriculum is better. It’s only because of the technological advances and the stage at which dentists get introduced to them.To put things in perspective, dentistry is as such a medical science as it is art. It’s to do with ones hand skills and hand work which eventually translates to good dental work and patient satisfaction.Newer and better procedure, materials and machines are mostly developed in the US and Canada. Thus, the dental students there have more hand on experience with such advances and are able to deliver better treatments. Also, insurance covers dental services in the US which makes the doctors accountable for the work done and its quality. This is ingrained into the students during their education, which indirectly contributes to better treatments and dentists. However, dental education is very expensive in the US. If you have the resources, choose a dental school in the US after your 12th.If you decide to study in the US post your Bachelors degree in Dentistry, then you would have to study again for a duration of 2 to 3 years. Also, selection would be based on the basis of your competitive examination scores. If you do no wish to spend the time or money, complete your education in your home country and visit the US to do advanced courses which offer similar hands on experience and curriculum.Cheers !!!
