Best Eroge For Girls Female Protagonist In English/translation

(18+) visual novels in english for girls?

There are a number of visual novels in English for female audiences - the best starting list is at http://www.otomegames.com/

However there are NONE that are full 18+ No Japanese company thinks there are enough paying customers to license one for the English market, no indie developer dares do anything with porn, and the fan translation community is male-dominated and not interested in doing games for girls.

Aoi Shiro has a little bit of almost-nudity, but it's entirely girl/girl which may not be what you're after.

The best way to get more games for girls is to buy them legally so that more companies think it's worthwhile to invest.

I wanted to play some eroge, i am a sixteen year old girl but i have recently gotten into anime?

Yes, there are plenty of anime-style games that are not porn. And many of them are in English. Ignore the other poster who is trying to lure you into doing illegal stuff!

I know you said you don't want to download things but really, if you're curious the best thing is to search for and download the game "RE: Alistair". It is completely legally free, there's nothing to worry about, and it's not hentai. It's just about a girl who likes to play video games trying to date some cute guys at her high school. Nothing bad about that!

There are also a number of "sim date" games made with Flash that you can find online for free. They usually have more minigames and less plot, but again, they're completely free. Try going to pacthesis.deviantart.com to peek at a few of them.

Otherwise, if you're interested in investigating the longer anime-style games that are available for female audiences, there's a list of ones in English here: http://www.otomegames.com/games.shtml which covers PC games as well as DS and iPhone ones. It is a small market, but it's growing, so tehre may be more available in the future

Now, if you want something that's ALMOST eroge but not quite, you might be interested in the game KiraKira. It's a male protagonist dating girls, but there are two versions available and one of them cuts out the sex scenes. So you have that same kind of atmosphere, but no actual porn. Go to mangagamer.com to find it (legally!)

Is there a japanese term for a female otaku?

>specific term for a female otaku

nonthing.

but, a subset of female otakus is called 腐女子(Hujyoshi).
If you have the curiosity about this subset, let's Google "yaoi".

Why are many male characters in Japanese anime voiced by females?

I know two such Characters from the subbed version of Detective Conan!Conan Edogawa:The main protagonist other than Shinichi Kudou.Voice Actor of Conan: Minami Takayama.I believe she had to play this role to achieve the cute and childish voice of Conan (Which he often uses in front of adults) Also another reason is I believe that in this case, an adult lady had to be used as a voice actor instead of a small boy because the script contains crime and murders. Exposing a young boy to such words and script would probably be inappropriate. Also the script could be difficult for a small boy. And an adult male will not sound like a small boy in any case, so maybe a female was the only option.2. Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya: Conan’s friend who goes to the same elementary school like him and is also the part of ‘Detective Boys’Voice Actor of Mitsuhiko: Ikue OtaniI am guessing the reason is same as the one above. As all kids of Detective Conan are played by adult Voice Actors, probably because of the genre of the anime.(Extra information: She is also the voice actor of Pikachu. Pika-Pika!)My theory might make sense in this case. But for other animes like Dragon Ball, Doraemon and Shinchan i am not so sure.Hope my answer helps!

What are some offline visual novels or otomes, preferably free?

Responding to A2A.I assume you’re referring to Otome games specifically and not visual novels in general. This is not a genre I usually play. My advice would be to go to steam and search for games marked with Otome tag for a start.Browsing OtomeSince (IIRC) tags are placed by community there will be some false positives, of course, but you should be able to locate some decent titles. From the games listed, NightShader gives an impression of high production quality visual novel.Nightshade/百花百狼 on SteamHonestly, visuals remind me of Aoi Shiro, for some reason. From Non-Otome games…The Confines Of The CrownandDemonheartLook interesting. I have “confines of the crown” in my library, but haven’t completed it yet. Demonheart is something I’ve been thinking about buying, but haven’t gotten around it. Neither is technically an Otome game, and closer to a western visual novel. Decent quality novel.Another suggestion would be to go to something like The Visual Novel Database and browse for otome tag there:Tag: Otome GameBut the thing is that vndb also includes 18+ material, and a lot of it. Now, the good news is that the site keeps things SFW, until you confirm that you want to see NSFW material, but still be careful about what your boundaries of acceptable are.Another option is to try filtering by tags, for exampel “Otome Game” and “No Sexual Content”:Browse visual novelsThis will result in plenty of titles, starting with Amnesia, and including “Magical Diary” by Hanako Games. So, plenty of games to choose from.As for “offline”, majority of games on PC should work offline just fine. I do not recommend looking for “Free”, though, because you’ll be very likely to run into subpar content. And that’s all I can tell on the topic.Have fun.
