Best Foreign Language Songs

What is the name of this foreign language song?

I've heard this song a couple of times on the radio and I really like it even though I don't understand a word of it. It sounds like this " une umwehu unsuu... une saliiwah, une saliiwah uuuu... uuuumbayeh umbayeh umbayeh" that's the best I can do. I tried googling it but nothing comes up so I'm guess that I have the words wrong. I doubt anyone can tell the name of the song and who sings it but its worth a try. I wish I could hum it to you or something. Anyway if someone can help from the info I've given that would be great. Please help. If it sounds even remotely like a song you know let me know. thanks

R&P: Foreign language songs?

I listen to quite a lot of music by bands whose first language is not English. Here are a lost of my favourite bands who do not sing in English:

- Vintersorg - a Swedish one-man project who plays folk/black metal, very pagan, with lots of unusual intruments.
- Alcest - another one-man project, this time French. Originally this was a black metal project but it has progressed to a shoegazer band, and it's extremely relaxing.
- Tenhi - a neofolk outfit from Finland who play the most beautiful and melancholic music I have ever heard, and who make great use of the violin and the flute.
- Breed 77 - a Spanish flamenco-metal band, extremely catchy.
- Hardingrock - a project between Emperor's Ihsahn, his wife Heidi from Star Of Ash, an Norway's most famous fiddler. They play a type of folk music with a predominant fiddle influence and spoken word passages, and they sing in Norweigen.
- Rammstein - a German industrial metal band. They have some extremely risque lyrics including "Buck dich" ("bend over"), "spiel mit mir" ("play with me"), etc.
- The Wise Guys - another German group, an acapella group who do some very funny and witty songs, all only usuing their voices. Their best is "Willst du mit mire gehen" ("Will you go out with me?") which is a selection of chat-up lines.

These are all the ones that I have on my ipod but there's lots of others out there that I listen to as well.

BQ: Only one night. I was doing the Cotswold Marathon (a 36 mile night hike) and we did it throughout the night. I almost fell asleep whilst walking. I never want to have that little sleep again.

If I am asked which foreign songs I like, I’d go with some Spanish songs I extremely like- Bon Bon no Americano (by Pitbull), Bailando (by Enrique Iglesias), Duele El Corazon (by Enrique) & Homenaje Al Beny (by Gente de Zona). Even though I cannot understand a word or the meaning of songs, they do have a good vibe with them. This is what makes me listen to them! :)

Which is the best foreign language song you have ever heard?

As being enthusiastic in musical field, I can try to list out some. Loving a music or a song first of all depends on what kind of genre do you dig the most. Nevertheless it should depend on your mood. If you do have a specific genre, then you might hop languages too. For instance;French & Spanish Songs:You will definitely come to your feet if you love the electronic house music or R&B. Hip hop are also included and sometimes they come in different forms and might sound like jazzy.French being the most romantic language can make a peace in mind for French ears. Naming a few best French songs that I have been listening and made me go “yoooohooo” are La lettre, envole-moi, domino etc.And naming a few Spanish Songs likeEres TuNo Me Doy Por VencidoOye Como VaAre so relaxing songs.Arabic songs:Arabic songs have so pleasant rhythms that they will make u fall in love with them. Songs by Arash are likely to be famous in international music industry.Bollywood songs (Hindi):If you are the Indian songs and beats fan, Bollywood music is your destination that can bring smile to your face. Songs by music maestro A.R.Rahman like jai ho!, Yeh haseen vadiyan, and many more are gonna be your final choice if you love romantic and soft music songs. Songs by pritam are so catchy that you can memorize the entire song composed by him in such a smooth flow. Afghan jalebi composed by him made on to Y! Top 100.
