Best Gear Oil For My Cr125

How much oil do i put in a 2003 cr 125?

i have a o3 cr 125 and i do not know how much oil i am supposed to put it it, and i also do not know what type of oil. i herd that it could tak sae 80w oil but im not sure. any help would be great

My cr 125 won't select 4th and 5th gear !?!?!?

You have a broken transmission. It's probably a bent shifter fork, which will need to be replaced, but you might need a new shift drum as well. Hopefully there are no damaged gears, but all parts should still be available.
You need to drain the oil, remove the motor, split the crankcase and see what's up. First step though, is to get a service manual for that year and model. The manual will show you how to check EVERYTHING, so that you don't have further problems after re-assembly. It will also indicate which parts should not be re-used, such as gaskets, etc.
Do not run the motor until you do this, since there is a possibility that you will be allowing metal filings or broken parts to damage other parts of the motor.
Good luck. Some posters may say "Buyer beware, etc...", but it's too late for that. Check out parts prices, and keep your eye on the repair cost: Bear in mind what you paid for the bike, and how much you're willing/able to spend on it at this point.

My 2002 CR125 won't start?

If the piston & rings have never been changed, then the top end is most likely the problem.
Maybe a part of the piston ring broke off and got jammed in a cylinder port.
Could be crankshaft bearings.
Bottem end rod bearing.
A part of the transmission getting stuck and locking the engine momentarily.
Do a commpression test to check the top end.
For a quick check of the top end -
Remove the exhaust pipe and look in the exhaust port with a flashlight and mirror.
Purchase a shop manual for instructions on removing/repairing the top end.

What is the gear or shift pattern of a cr125 Honda 2 stroke ???????????????????????????

Fifth
Fourth
Third
Second
Neutral
First

Just like almost every motorcycle on the planet. Note: neutral is not a completely separate notch, it is in between first and second.

Why does my motorcycle stall when I put it into gear?

1st most obvious: you did not pull the clutch. But I assume you know how to operate itThen probably your side stand is out. Most bikes have a safety feature that cuts off the ignition to avoid you driving off with the stand out.Another thing could be that your bike just runs poor when cold and when you shift, the engine gets a little more resistance, which is enough to cut off. When the bike is warmed up this should be fixed. Otherwise try shifting in to gear in between opening the throttle. And let the clutch slip gently with enough throttle so it won't stall. Or start the engine with gear engaged and clutch pulled. And drive away smoothly.

Why does a motorcycle jerks when put in first gear?

Could be a few things, most bikes do it to a certain extent, if it is worse when you bike is cold it is because your oil is cold and should get better when the engine warms up….If it is very bad you could have the wrong grade of oil …..(too thick)I had Suzuki which would actually stall (unless you gave it a few revs) when selecting first gear on cold mornings and it turned out to be the wrong grade of oil (slightly thicker)Other things …If your chain adjustment is out that will cause a clunk , also if you felt it was better with a new clutch cable , adjusting it might helpIIRC all my Kawasakis have been quite clunky, and my present bike (Yammy FJ1200) does clunk when cold but is fine after…Its hard to tell without seeing it but if it were me I wouldChange the oil for manufacturers recommendation…Adjust Chain correctlyAdjust clutch correctlyBut TBH before that I would just pop it into a dealers or get a experienced rider and get them to feel if it is normal or not…

Why do the gear teeth break?

In gear design, a gear tooth is considered like a cantilever beam which experience a force at its tip ( or more specifically, at the line of contact), every instant during gear-meshing. The choice for the length for the gear-tooth and the material for the gear ( and many times the manufacturing process employed for the gear) determine the strength and the load-bearing capability of the gear-tooth. The stub gears, helical gears and hypoid gears have higher strength in the aforementioned order in comparison to a spur gear with longer teeth, just because the force better distributed and/or the moment due to the force on the cantilever-tooth is lesser. Now, back to the question of why would a gear-tooth break. Imagine a scenario where a huge force is applied on a gear-tooth in a very short period of time (for example, grinding of gears in a manual-transmission due to a faulty installation of cluth). A sudden force on the gear can cause sudden-hardening of the surface and accompanying reduction in its ductility. This can render the gear-tooth brittle and thus it may experience breaking (with chipping).

Can i put 4 stroke oil in a 2 stroke dirt bike?

Why would anyone want to pour ENGINE Oil into a Gearbox with a Wet Clutch?

We USED to do that.
Everybody did.

We Used to do a LOT of things

Time was ,,and not THAT long ago,,,,Nobody Understood or Beleived in Using 2 Stroke Oil to premix in 2stroke Fuel

Straight SAE 30w was standard 2 stroke oil.
LOTS of Service Manuals actually Specified it.

Anybody who has ever seen the inside of a motorcycle engine and gearbox and clutch has an idea of how Different the 3 mechanisms are.

Some people dont care what they pour into their bike.
Others dont know the difference because they dont Want to know.
They like the Advertising Slogans of the various products.
It makes life simpler for them.

Yet,Some people are interested in using products specifically designed for certain uses.

But Yeah,,,You can Use ANYTHING,,,or mix and match

Get a cheap can of No-Name 30w from any grocery store.
Mix it in your gas.
Pour it in your gearbox.
Use it in your forks and rear shock.
Oil your Chain and Cables and wheel bearings, and steering bearings and swingarm pivot with it.
Lube your spark plug threads, axle nuts.
Polish your Gas Tank and plastics with it

No Law says you MUST use Specialty Lubes and products.

On the Otherhand,,here in the 21st Century Actual Gearbox Oil is readily available.

Someday it'll catch on,,just like "2 Cycle" eventually did once people started trying it and saw the benefits for themselves.
