What is the best travelling iPhone application for a 9 day trip through Europe?

Here are some free apps that I've used when traveling overseas that work well offline:- Currency (http://appshopper.com/travel/cur...)- My Maps Editor [access/cache Google My Maps] (http://appshopper.com/navigation...)- synchronize [figure out the time in other timezones]   (http://appshopper.com/utilities/...)- PowerPlug [figure out what plugs/adapters to bring] (http://appshopper.com/travel/pow...)- Metro [public transportation routes] (http://appshopper.com/travel/metro)- TravelHelp [cache wikitravel entries] (http://appshopper.com/travel/tra...)- TripIt [save your itinerary for access offline] (http://appshopper.com/travel/tri...) or Kayak (http://appshopper.com/travel/kayak)- Gmail [better searching of emails when you find wifi than the Mail app] (http://appshopper.com/productivi...)I would also recommend having some sort of program that you can save PDFs with, I use GoodReader (http://appshopper.com/productivi...), but there are others out there that are probably cheaper. It's handy to quickly pull up your hotel/flight confirmations rather than dig through your emails or if you don't want to waste paper.Hope that helps, have a good trip!

What are the best iPhone apps for chronicling a trip?

I can't think of a single app that would take care of it. When I'm traveling, I often rely on Instagram to document everything, but my needs are different from yours: it's just me doing the documenting, and photos with a little animation is enough for me. I think Instagram solves the problem for stills, but that's leaves text, videos, and the fact that multiple people are involved. Two things to consider would be a private Facebook group (leveraging Instagram's FB connectivity for stills, and FB's own iOS app for video and text), or a Wordpress blog. With a little experimentation--I'd be happy to help you test it, if you need a beta tester--I think you could hammer out a workflow that would make it easy and fairly robust.
