Best Laptop For Recording And Video Editing

What is the best laptop for recording my own music and videos?

I am sorry but this is a really weird question. That would be like asking what is the best camera for playing videogames. Like for recording music it depends on the microphone and recording video depends on a camera, not on a notebook. And I don’t think you want to use a mini webcamera or a built-in microphone for this. If you mean editing music and videos, that would be something with a good RAM and a good CPU. RAM 16 GB and Intel Core i7 for example.

What is the best laptop for gaming and video editing and how much does it cost?

For raw performance, there's a bunch of boutique PC manufacturers you can go to. To pick just one, here's Falcon Northwest:Falcon Northwest  Fully-loaded with 64GB of RAM, an i7 6700K, a 512GB SSD system drive, 4TB of additional SSD storage, and a GeForce 980M with 8GB of VRAM you're looking at a little north of $6,000. You could pay more if you want a custom paint job.If you want an editing laptop that can still play games, here's an option:ADK Video Editing,NLE Computers, Laptops A similar configuration to the Falcon Northwest laptop will run you about the same price, but you could go up to $7,253 and get a 2TB system SSD along with 6TB of additional storage. But honestly, if I was going to buy a gaming laptop, I would probably get this:The Best Gaming Laptop As of this writing, the laptop mentioned in the above link is the ASUS ROG G751JT. This is a well-tested and reviewed system that isn't insanely expensive (less than $1,800). Plus, 3 hours of battery life is nothing to sneeze at for a performance system. If I wanted an editing laptop, I'd probably get this:15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display Despite being a Windows-based video editor for over 10 years, the MacBook Pro is still the best portable video editing computer I've ever used, and you can use Thunderbolt-based external devices to add storage, capture hardware, etc. A fully-loaded MacBook Pro currently runs about $3800 with all the extra stuff I'd need, including DVI adapter, AppleCare extended warranty, etc. Will it play Windows games? Ehh. You could use Boot Camp and dual-boot with Windows if you really wanted to, but the Radeon R9 M370X chip in the system isn't a top-tier GPU at this point. Maybe we'll get something better at the end of the month, but I wouldn't count on it. MacBook Pros aren't the fastest, but they're stable. To me, that's more important than speed when I'm editing.

What's a Good Laptop for Video Editing?

Ok so, Im going to start making Lets Plays YouTube videos and I'll be editing and recording them on the same computer(for obvious reasons) by myself. But at the moment I don't have the right computer, here are some I have in mind, take a look at them and let me know if which one would be good, if you have a better suggestion that is under $800 that I can get in store(I live in Toronto, ON, Canada) please send a link to it if it's on a website or just say the name and specs, Thanks in advance! I'd also only like to use a Laptop so when I go to other people houses for more than one day I can easily record a bunch of videos before hand then edit it on the way there and while Im there with my free time you know? Again Thanks for all of the answers in advance :D

*NOTE* I DON NOT need a video editing software, I already have Pinnacle Studios that came with my Dazzle Capture Card.

Would this be a good laptop for video editing?

I'm not looking for an overkill laptop. Just a simple laptop that maybe CAPABLE for video editing and that will last long enough (At least 2-3 years).
I don't do anything HIGH when it comes to editing (I'm not a freddiew)
Just some simple gaming editing. Maybe add a couple captions and animations but not anything BIG!
I'm wondering if these laptops are good enough and will they last long?
I use Sony Vegas Pro 12 because let's face it. Movie Maker is horrible.

Here's an example of what type of video editing i'm doing.……

Here's the link to the laptop:
