Best Looking Afl Players

What do AFL footy players wear under their shorts?

I would like to know what AFL players were under their shorts, they look like rugby under shorts, and are normally cream. I live in Australia and would like to get my cousin them for his birthday because he plays football.

How can I snag a player?

play hard-to-get!!!!! players get bored easily so challenge him then connect with him....
*witty banter is good
*truth: player-types normally like attention so he'll want a "trophy-type girl" so try 2 look UR best & take care of urself, it'll make u feel like ur worth it so he'll get the idea that u r 2 (which u alrdy kno)
*4 sum reason guys like slightly heavy eyeliner (not goth just like ur goin 2 a club or sumthn) & fluttery eyelashes **go light on perfume!!
*keep him on his toes by not doing what he'd expect
*make sure he can connect w/ u emotionally so he trusts u & values u
*when ur doing somethng sitting down; cross legs (guys like that luv the girly lady-like damsel in distress thing) & face him w/ ur body but don't look up at him (this keeps his attention on u cuz he thnks u may talk 2 him)
*as stupid as it sounds: let him b "the man"...fluff his ego
*always walk away or end the convo 1st... it'll leave him wanting more & anticipating the next time he sees u
****always b urself, no guys is worth letting urself lose u, plus there'll always b another****

Best song for the AFL Grand Final Day?

Year of the Cat -- Al Stewart
Cool for Cats -- UK Squeeze
Cat Scratch Fever -- Ted Nugent

I think you can gather my thoughts on the matter!!

How many professional football players have died on the pitch?

List of association footballers who died while playing

How do AFL commentators memorize all the player’s names and are able to identify them on the ground when they don’t have the view/screens the spectators have?

How do physicist know all those formulas and theories? How do musicians know how to play instruments so well? How do political pundits and talking heads on news shows speak so smoothly on all current topics.People who specialize in something (as in, putting in 10,000 or more hours), become experts relative to the lay person (non-specialist in that area). The experts can be quite impressive. This is background to what you saw. These guys played the sport for decades, worked with other players, learned the business, and after retiring from active sports, kept up an active interest, reading about players being traded, new players, etc.

Why do AFL players predominately wear their socks down, where all other football codes wear their socks up?

A couple of people have mentioned it’s due to the volume of running in AFL. While this is partially true I’ll throw a few other options into the mix.Fashion: Yep, the players care about how they appear. I used to play a lot of footy (AFL) and I always refused to wear my socks down, but then again, I never followed the fashion trends. I distinctly remember around the late 90’s that people started wearing their socks down. While there are some valid reasons below as to why they might prefer them down, the players would go to extended efforts not just to wear them down, but to also make sure they appeared in a very particular manner. They would fold the shin part of the sock over their feet to give them a clean ankle sock type look. They would literally fold the sock once or twice over their foot so it was as if they were wearing 2–3 pairs of socks. They did this because not only was it not cool to wear your socks up, it also wasn’t cool to have 30cm of socks bunch up around your ankles. This all happened around the same time that white football boots and shaving your legs started to become cool in the footy circles as well.Sliding: Even if you are very good at keeping your feet, the nature of AFL tends to mean you are sliding on the ground a lot. Because of this your socks usually slide down as you slide across the ground. This might lead to you pulling your socks back up several times a quarter. Personally, I would fix my socks without thinking about it. It was just a habit I had developed and anytime that I would get back up I would instinctively pull up a sock or two.Running: It’s true that the socks fall down with excessive running. Some people have very skinny calves and this really isn’t helpful when you want to keep your socks up. That said, players in both Rugby codes still do a reasonable amount of running (5–8km) and they manage to keep their socks up.Back around the year 2000 socks began to change too. There weren’t these heavy, thick things you had to wear anymore. They changed into very thin, light, elastic type socks. I think they even have compression abilities in them now days. These socks did not, and would never, fall down from excessive running unless you had a severe case of chicken legs.

Why are so many rugby and AFL players of Pacific Islander background?

Well, for one, Rugby is one of the games that European explorers did play that left an imprint on the locals, and became very popular. As for the reason you see so many, they simply have brilliant genetics for it. Typically at a higher level, you see a lot of this occurring.(Israel Folau, a top-tier player of AFL, Rugby League, and Rugby Union, of Tongan descent)Speed, strength and power are all very prolific islander traits, and just happen to be perfect traits for Rugby and AFL alike. Somewhat like how Jamaica is famous for having very fast runners.Image courtesy of: skysports.com

As an Australian (rules) football player in Tonga, how important is the 2020 AFL International Cup to the development of Australian football in Tonga?

I apologize in advance as this answer will be somewhat simple.Any competition that is run correctly and by that I mean, is played in the same way as the regular AFL competition is one I support. There's too many competitions run by the AFL for the purpose of growing the game internationally that fall flat. This is because they're shortened versions of the game, with different rules for the sake of higher scoring.Fiji, Tonga and other Pacific islands are the best potential breeding ground for the AFL competition going forward. Look at the players who have already been in the system, or are still competing. David Rodan, Nic Natinui, Alipate Carlisle to name a few.Great for the game, if the tournament is done well.
