Best Mobile Hotspot To Stream Netflix

How many gb does Netflix use on straight talk hotspot?

Each HD movies uses around 2GB. Shows use anywhere between 0.5-1GB

Don't use any of those. You'll go over them all VERY easily!

Best NO-Contract wifi hotspot for streaming netflix?

I currently live in the country where no internet provider will come to so I have a wifi hotspot for internet service. I have straight talk and I like their service it works great however I envitably run out in just a few days. I dont mind paying extra just want to know what the best provider out there is? I enjoy watching netflix because I dont have cable or satelittle and there is never anything on tv to watch so what is the best wifi spot out there that has enough gigs to stream netflix ?

Can I watch Netflix using a mobile hotspot device?

I have a 360, wii and ps3. I'm staying at a house that doesn't have wifi. We thought we'd try watching Netflix using my Galaxy Tabs mobile hotspot. The 360 wouldn't load it at all. We are able to get the wii to load the videos, but it needs to "retrieve" often. I haven't tried the Ps3 yet, but I'm not expecting better results. Is it possible to do something on the tablet that would make Netflix on the Wii run smoother? The tablet is right next to the wii and it looks like the connection is great, 3 bars, any ideas?

I am going to guess you are asking if you can stream Netflix from a phone in hotspot mode. Yes.You need to set the streaming device to talk to the phone and you need to have a pretty huge data plan. Netflix through a streaming device is probably close to 5MB a second if you are watching something that is HD. Old television shows will be less, but it will be a lot more data than playing Netflix on your phone. So if your Internet is out and you are having your friends over to watch something on Netflix all is not lost - you can drive it from your phone.

Verizon hotspot and netflix?

You can adjust the quality in your account settings.

From the netflix support site at:
http://support.netflix.com/en/node/87#gs...

"There are 3 settings to choose from:

Good quality (uses up to 0.3 GB per hour)
Better quality (uses up to 0.7 GB per hour)
Best quality (uses up to 1 GB per hour, or up to 2.3 GB per hour if watching HD)"

Given the low caps on most wireless plans, Netflix can eat up your quota pretty fast and subject you to big overage charges.

How much will ps3 netflix streaming cost???????

Sony does not charge to stream Netflix from the PS3. The update tomorrow allows streaming without needing to insert the streaming disc, which was previously required (due to copyright issues with Micro$oft).

You must have a Netflix account, which is done through Netflix, not Sony or the PS3. The PS3 just allows streaming, just like a PC, laptop, or other Netflix enabled device or TV allow.

The basic Netflix package is $8.99 + tax, which gives you one DVD at any given time and unlimited online streaming. You can check out as many DVDs as you want during one month, but you can only have one at a time. There are other packages that allow you to have more than 1 DVD at a time, and you can pay more to get Blu-ray as well.

You must view the Netflix site to know what they charge. Once you have an account, the PS3 can be used to watch the movies in your Online Queue.

I am having a little trouble parsing your question: A) you have an iPhone with a dataplan AND a MiFi modem without a data-plan? B) Or neither has a data-plan?Starting with B) = If there is no data-plan / no internet access in your home from any source - then the answer is clearly NO: you can not gain access to Netflix/Youtube internet sites without a connection to the internet. Then speaking about A) If I got that correct (YES data-plan on iPhone - NO dataplan on MiFi modem), then if you set your iPhone as a hotspot, you may be able to connect your ChromeCast to it and stream Netflix / YouTube over it.This is using your mobile data (3G / 4G data speeds) on your iPhone to get the ChromeCast to the internet. I am not sure if this will work for 2 or 3 reasons:In the US (and probably other countries), using the iPhone hot-spot is a feature that is linked to your data-plan. So if you aren’t specifically paying for it / have it turned-on on your account = you can’t do it.It is possible that the data-plan with your carrier has a ‘feature’ which prevents you from streaming YouTube / Netflix via the hotspot feature. You may not have enough streaming bandwidth via 3G/4G in your home to have a reasonable viewing experience.Worth giving it a try = best of luck.

There have been three answers, two of them are good, let me summarize and give you my experience.Yes, you can.Be aware of how much data you may have available, because video streaming to an external device uses a TON of data, even more then watching videos on your phone.Be aware that even with an “unlimited” data plan, your carrier may drop your data speeds at a certain point; and it’s easy to hit that point with streaming video.Be aware that some carriers and some plans provide a lower speed for hotspot data then phone data, that lower speed may not be able to sustain video, especially not hd video. For my own experience, I was in a hotel for 3 months for a work assignment. One night the hotel WiFi stops giving me an useable connection. I went to the front desk to ask what’s up, and that’s when I realize not only is the parking lot FULL, for the first time since I arrived, it’s also full of oilfield company pickups and rigs.Well THAT explains a lot.Ok, so I turn the hotspot feature on my personal phone, try that. Nope. It’s limited to 600k, even though my phone itself gets 2–3mbps.So, i say “screw it. I have a HUGE per diem for this job, I just got paid, and I can write off my expenses”. I drove to Walmart, purchased a Verizon hotspot for $50 and a $100 card, went back and activated it, and burned thru about 10gb in 2 days, watched what I wanted to watch. Then I sold that hotspot for $100 cash to one of the roughnecks who was shipping out.
