Best Sport To Lose Weight And Gain Muscle

Best Sport To Lose Weight And Gain Muscle?

Hi there.
I've played many different sports and so I think I can help with this.

You're right that swimming is a great sport to gain muscle, especially around your shoulders (especially f you're doing butterfly).

However, to lose weight? I would say the best way to lose weight would be either cycling (because all serious/competitive cyclists are skinny, but then this only builds muscle on your quads and calves) or cross country running (but then again long distance runners have even less muscle than cyclists!)

Rowing is also a great sport to build muscle because it includes both your arms and your legs, but isn't really that accessible and again doesn't really help you burn fat that much.

I've been playing tennis for six years, and I would say that that's the best sport for you. I'm not particularly muscular, but that's because of my style of play (all footwork and accurate but not fast groundstrokes). If you are a hard hitter, then tennis will help you to improve your upper body if you're hitting balls really hard all day long, and improve your lower body because you're running about and stuff.

However, I would personally try out many different sports, and then when you come to one you love because you find it both fun AND beneficial to your body, stick with that.

Hope I helped :)

How do I lose weight at the gym and not gain muscle?

Hi,In order to lose fat, you need to give your body less energy (food) than it burns every day, as measured in calories. This is known is creating a “calorie deficit.” No calorie deficit, no losing fat, period. Now, many “rapid weight loss” solutions call for severe calorie restrictions (eating very little every day). This is not the way to go, and can lead to metabolic damage, excessive muscle loss, extreme irritableness, and more. Instead, you want to put your body in a mild calorie deficit. Specifically, you want to feed it about 20% less calories than it burns every day. By doing this you should be able to lose around of 1-3 pounds per week while preserving your metabolic health, energy levels, mental balance, and mood.Doing this effectively beginner requires a few steps:Step 1: Determine How Many Calories You Should Be Eating Every DayStep 2: Convert Your Daily Calories Into Macronutrient NeedsStep 3: Create a Precise Meal Plan to FollowStep 4: Stick to the Meal Plan Every DaySo long as you hit your daily numbers, What you eat doesn’t matter when it comes to weight loss: HOW MUCH is the key. Meal timing and frequency is completely up to you. Eating more or fewer meals per day isn’t going to help or hinder your weight loss.Greets,Joel

How can I lose weight and gain muscle as a teenage girl?

Yes if you work hard everyday and go to the gym or exercise at home also if you play sports you could lose weight if you participate in any other sports it could help you even more and you would have abs muscles and anything else that you wanted but you have to work for it and very hard and one other thing that I would wanted to recommend is that if you want you could diet but I think that's a bad idea because you are taking less time to eat a good meal when you just diet and you don't get as much food in your system and you are very drowsy because you don't have much food but I'm all I'm saying is that if you want to diet please diet very healthy and do not do anything crazy when you diet and don't starve yourself because that's the worst thing to do because food is the best thing god gave us

Im 14 and need to lose weight and gain muscle but how!?

Okay, I am going to start off by telling you a little bit about me! I am a 14 year old male, my birthday is May,16,1997 ( just turned 14 ) lol! I love going to hurricane harbor with my friends and I am wanting to play basketball as a freshman and during high school. The only thing is, my fat! I am almost 5'11 and weigh anywhere about 167-172. I just need a workout or something to get some abs, get endurance for basketball, and most importantly to look good in front of my friends because they're all skinny! Should I just run, then jump in my pool and swim, and finally do sit-ups and push-ups, or what? Also what should I do for my diet? A good plan would be really nice, I really hope I can find someone that will help me! Thanks, God bless!

What sports should a teen play to gain weight?

No sport will make you gain size besides bodybuilding. Basketball, swimming, football, tennis, soccer and every other classic sport you can think of burns calories without significant resistance on the muscles, resulting in fat/muscle tissue loss. A tennis player might have one nice forearm (with their dominant hand), and a track runner might have nice abs. But none of those things will let you "put on size" in a meaningful way like youd like too. Not only do most sports not build muscles, they can actually prevent them from growing. 20-30+ minutes a day of steady state cardio actually burns muscle tissue. Which is why we return to what I previously said: bodybuilding is the only sport where one can build a lot of mass (apart from sumo wrestling - but I don't think you want to go there).
