Best Virtual Worlds For Kids

Any good virtual worlds?

Hi, have you heard of The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks Virtual World?

I had tried it and I think it is great!

It's a new virtual world for kids and tweens (some even say teens!). It has already received tens of thousands of sign-ups from over 140 countries.

You can travel around the world, adopt all kinds of cool pets, build houses and islands, wear clothings from different countries, play tons of games and more. Best of all, it's free to play and you don't need to download anything to install.

Here's a short description of it.

"The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks promises an experience in which players would be able to travel to factual and mysterious places around the world, travel through time and space, meet famous people from the past, play dozens of enriching and fun games, make new friends and party with them, buy exotic islands, build culture-inspired houses, wear clothes from different countries, explore secret locations, solve mysteries and puzzles and become a legendary traveler!"

What are the best virtual worlds?

Really depends on what you like. My personal favorite are the OpenSim ones, where you can create your own virtual world, on your own server (or a hosted server, if you don't want to do any of the work). Best of all -- your avatar can teleport around to other OpenSim worlds. Some are huge, with hundreds of square miles of land and thousands of users, others are smaller. You can have a world where its just you, or just you and your friends doing role play or building with your kids.Second Life is the big one -- 900,000 active monthly users, the CEO reported this month. And you can make real money in there, making virtual clothing and accessories and selling them to other users. If you like games, there's World of Warcraft and Skyrim. There's worlds aimed at little kids, worlds that are historical recreations, works for scientific research, worlds for education, worlds for niche communities and lifestyles of all kinds, worlds with virtual casinos, worlds with virtual sailing, fan worlds built around any fictional setting you can image.

What are the best virtual worlds for 9 year olds? What should be monitored?

Nine is younger than is recommended for VR, so you want to keep use brief to reduce the risk of causing permanent problems with their ability to see properly.I’d stick to experiences like TheBlu, or puzzle games. You probably don’t want to train your 9-year-old to kill.Young children should not be let into multiplayer games unless you’re looking to anger a lot of adults, harm your child’s self-esteem, and teach him some words that will get him into trouble at school.

What are the best virtual worlds for tweens?

VRChat: Interact with global users in the virtual world.Have you watched Ready Player One? Have you ever think about OASIS really exist? The answer is positive. VRChat is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online virtual reality video game where you can where players interact with others by avatars. You can create your own avatar on VRChat instead of getting a well-designed one from its store, which sounds as exciting as Wade did in Ready Player One.The reason VR aficionados and players getting crazy about VRChat is the expanding and engaging world that transforms game experiences. The developers defined VRChat by two assets: the catalog of mini-games and the social capabilities. These two distinctive features make VRChat a combination of social platform and video game. VR Chat is available for free through Steam.High fidelity: attend events thousands of miles away with the headsetNo words can describe how excited it is to share the virtual worlds by collapsing distance. Players can create new spaces and bring people at a distance into real human contact, such as attend events and entertain each other all in high fidelity. You can go dancing in the dance club and talk to a bunch of strangers and even touch their avatars. The experience is highly realistic while it sync your movements with the virtual characters. High fidelity is also available for free through Steam. If you are a 360 VR creator, feel free to follow and request me any 360 or/and VR relevant questions! :)

What are some ideas to create fun virtual worlds for kids under 13 years of age?

depends, do you want a simple world like club penguin or something more complex like a mmo?if you want something like club penguin or moshi monsters then instead of making it a nice 'happy' game you can make more like Pokemon cards so that you can challenge other players to a duel while sacrificing something. however since that game has been already taken, you can do the same thing except with 'citadels' (you can look it up) which is and was one of my personal favorites and i think more people should know about it; plus i think it would really work in a virtual world as you can visually build a 'laboratory' or a 'library' during your turn. while your playing the game, the layout can be a bit like hearthstone and while your just walking around the layout can be like elsword. You can play mini games to get gold and so if a 'witch' coincidentally attacks you, you can give them the gold and be on your way but if you don't have gold then the witch can put some sort of curse on you like 'every time you lose a battle you lose 2 gold for the next 2 hours'. the aim of the game can be to collect enough gold to get every single prize there is, every house item, every stamp, every piece of clothing( there can  be mini games and shops just like in club penguin) until theirs nothing left that you don't have(there can be some sort of prize to the first 5 people who manage to do it). while dueling, you win you get 10 gold and if you lose you don't lose anything unless your under a curse. if your on a winning streak you can be put under a charm with the opposite effect of the witchif you do this based on citadels then the graphics should be really dark and old timely so if you want a more positive vibe you can basically do the same type of game but based on 'carcassonne' and to make it more modern you can change castles to spaceships and so on. or you can base it on 'settlers catan' but you get the jistthese are the top 3 games i think you should base it on since they're really underrated and should get more popular because they're amazing so you should also give credit to the original games if you are going to use this idea
