The way I got rid of the worms in my colon was by drinking (Suprise!)coffee. For me, it's basically a laxative that makes me defecate EVERYTHING! My goodness, this is the 4th pinworm questions Ive answered tonight. Ok, I am still fighting these little pests. I have a busy household so please take this into consideration (7 of us + 1 dog).

Place a piece of tape on your anal area and inner thigh right when you wake up. They are very tiny so it may look like a tiny piece of lint. The eggs and hopefully a worm (proof) will stick to the tape, take it to your dr. for confirmation (if dr. has not seen one before, this may be difficult). It is VERY IMPORTANT to:

2. Wahs ur cltohes, sheets, blankets in hot water and place in dryer or hang on clothes line in sun for 2 hrs+.

4. Force ppl to wash hands b4 eating or cooking (despite ur embarrassment).
5. Clean tubs, toilet, bathroom floor(do not us e a broom, eggs become airborne--too small to see).
6. vacume often daily to control spreading and reinfection. Vacume mattresses before placing sheets back on. Vacume out your care too esp w/children.
7. DO NOT SCRATCH ur bottom or private parts b/c it does stick to nails and difficult to clean off even with antibacterial soap and brush.
8. get new toothbrush and protect from becoming infective.

PINWORMS CAN BE ON WALLS, FLOOR, FURNITURE, BEDS, TOWELS, CARS, everywhere the infected touches. The eggs can only live for up to 2 weeks outside of the body, 13 days in the nose (yes you can inhale the eggs), and takes up to a month to hatch to start cycle again. It is important to take the second or even third dose.

My family is on the 4th dose and despite my thorough cleaning and eating on paper plates, sometimes using medical gloves when using fingers esp when cooking--we still have the symptoms and see lint like things in our beds in the morning.

Pinworms itch only at the rectal area. And no, beer doesn't do a thing for it. Neither will garlic supplements.

You fitst have to identify if your kids have any parasite problems. This means taking a poop sample in a zip lock baggie to ANY clinic and having them do a fecal smear. If they find worms, then you just go to your local pharmacist for the meds you need, there's probably over the counter stuff.
