Oh! Do you have a Petland in your area? They do birthday parties there and me and my friends loved it! You can go to petland.com and use the store locater. They have counselors and they bring in puppies, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs you name it! It's really cool. What you could also do is have a spa themed party and do mani-pedies on all the girls and facials. I did this one year. There are packets of different scent and therapy masks at the pharmacy. I don't know the brand but in the morning I'll go check the brand. There is always the classic birthday party. I can't think of anything else really unique but slumber parties are always fun. I did this one year when we all got plain white pillow cases and decorated them with fabric markers. Then we played hide and go seek in the dark. We sat and watched a funny movie and played around with our flashlights we got in our slumber packages and fuzzy socks. We had lots of fun!

It’s really going to depend on the 13-year-old girl. For my 13th birthday, I got a copy of the AD&D Dungeon Master’s Guide, which had just come out. I was ecstatic. My parents also got me a new bicycle, because I’d outgrown my old one. I didn’t grow much more after the age of 13, and because I took care of the bike, it lasted until I was 30, and I rode it pretty hard. I’d have to say it was one of the best gifts I ever got.Now, those were officially birthday gifts. I also got Bat Mitzvah gifts that year, which ranged from fountain pens to an Atari 2600. I got at least a dozen books, and most people knew me pretty well, because I got books like things by Stephen Jay Gould, or novels like Tess of the D’Urbervilles.The only gifts that disappointed me were girly things, which I never liked. I hate the color pink. I hate fake flowers, and ruffles. I don’t like stuffed animals.There’s no standard “13-year-old girl.” They are individuals, and want different things. If you know an Avon Rep. they have awesome little like chap sticks, lotion, body spray, body soap, and bubble bath. And some is super cheap. Its really fun, and cute. Movies are good, but a bit pricey. But if you have good funds, i say go for it. Itunes gift cards are awesome. Like 5-10 dollars, is a good amount. Go to Target, and in the front they should have like two aisles full of $1.00 stuff that's really cute, and fun. I've got some really nice things in those aisles. I'll add more if i think of them! :]

My best friend's birthday's coming up and I'm determined to get her the best birthday present in the world. Her name's Lauren if that means anything and she's turning 13 years old. I thought of making her a scrapbook, but I don't have too many printed pictures of her & me. And if I make her a scrapbook, I still want to get her something else.
