Black And Blue Lump On Armpit

I have a lump under my armpit the size of a grape. I dont have medical insurance, what should i do?

Wow, I am resolving the same issue... also with breast symptoms so we are looking at lymph nodes.....

First, if you have any type of cold symptoms then it may be a swollen gland. If it is a cyst or (YUCK) sorry ~ZIT.... then take a hot bath and do NOT use deoderant until the problem resolves. You want to open the area with heat so that it may drain. DO NOT squeez... You may also want to heat a tea bag and place the hot tea bag under your arm. Use common sense and do not burn yourself, but make it hot. Put your arm down and keep the bag there for 5 minutes on and off..... You will see a "head" of white if it IS a "zit" (yuck , I KNOW, I know) but you asked

It hurts under my armpit. . .?

My cousin had that happen, and it turned out her skin wasn't getting along with the type of deoderant she had. Gas has nothing to do with this. Buy a new brand of deoderant, try it out, and if it doesnt get any better, then you should tell your mom or dad, or anyone around you. Or go to a doctor. But i find it weird to go to the doctors if your armpit hurts. Hope i helped!

Bump under armpit!? Please Answer Now!?

Ok, so just a few minutes ago, I guess I just felt my armpit, or something (lol), and suddenly I felt this bump under there. Idk, it's probably the size of a pea and it hurts to touch. It's right where I shave, but it must've just developed today, because when I shaved today, it wasn't there. I shave everyday, could this be some sort of reason. It's seriously worring me...and since it's 10 at night, I can't go to the doc right now. And, if I don't have a clue of to what it is, I'll spend the whole night thinking it's cancer, and I won't get any sleep. Please...what is it??

A bump under armpit, is it a cancer?

There's only one way to find out what this is . . . go to a doctor! People on the internet are not able to give you an accurate diagnosis.

Many lumps come and go due to hormonal fluctuations. You can wait this one out a couple of cycles and if it is still there, get it checked out.

Is this dangerous? Painful pea size lump in my armpit?

If it's a ingrown hair you should be able to find the offending hair, and pulling it out with tweezers should help drain it, after first putting a towel soaked in hot (but not painfully) hot water for a few minutes, redoing it every minute or so to loosen up the hair.

If you're sick at the moment, even with a sore throat or cold it might be a swollen lymph node due to infection. It might be a boil also, or a pimple gone horribly wrong.

While I think it's unlikely to be cancer so suddenly, you should see your doctor, if it's a boil or pimple or anything else, they can lance it and dress it cleanly to prevent infection, and if it's cancer or a growth they can take samples and find out exactly what it is. Good luck!

My blue heeled has a huge lump on his side what could it be?

I have a 15year old blue heeler that has a big lump on his belly, right side more by his armpit and it's about the size of my palm. I was wounder if he got kicked by one of the horses but it won't go away. Someone told me it could be cancer or just a fat deposit. I don't really want to take him to the vet because he wouldn't make it threw surgery anyways or they would just put him down cause he's old. He's eating and drink and not suffering from it. Just curious!!!!

What are the treatments for painful bumps on your armpit?

What are the treatments for painful bumps in your armpits? If the bumps are small and on the surface of the skin (like pimples)usually the treatment is to stop irritating the skin of the armpits: stop shaving, or using anti-perspirants. They are the most common culprits. If you use deodorant only (for adults, Arm and Hammer has the only deodorant WITHOUT antiperspirant in it), and you still get these bumps after stopping shaving or using antiperspirants, then you need to stop the deodorant use as well. You can also wash your armpits with Hibiclens:It almost always comes in a blue bottle and has the same anti-bacterial ingredient that is used in surgery. This will decrease the amount of bacteria in your armpits and decrease the chance of having those bumps (DO NOT USE THIS SOAP ON YOUR FACE!!)Sometimes, there are many, many bumps and they can get large: this may be a condition called hidradenitis suppurativa:This condition is something that needs medical attention and should not be treated at home.If you have large bumps UNDER the skin like this:You need immediate medical attention, as this could be an indication of cancer of some kind. It could also be a reactive lymph node (an inflammatory reaction to an infection) but even in that case, if it is painful, that lymph node could be infected and you may need antibiotics.

What can cause the skin under the armpit to peel?

Armpit peeling can generally be treated with hydrocortisone cream or a mild moisturizing cream. Sometimes, it is caused by dry skin, rashes, or shaving. Sometimes, allergic reactions to products such as antiperspirants and depilatory preparations can be to blame for armpit peeing. Using a hypoallergenic deodorant or antiperspirant can reduce the likelihood of irritation and subsequent peeling. In addition, using products containing moisturizers can restore moisture and help reduce skin dryness and peeling.Getting sunburned in the armpits can also cause peeling. Typically, the skin will blister first and then armpit peeling will occur. To avoid sunburn in the armpit area, sunscreen should be used. In addition, to discourage peeling, moisturizer should be applied liberally after taking a shower, while pores are still open. If sunburn causes irritation, shaving the underarms should be avoided until the skin heals. This will discourage peeling and hasten the healing process.

What causes shingles in the armpit?

Shingles is a name given to a nasty skin rash caused by a virus called Herpes zoster.Have you heard of chicken pox? Of course you have. Have you had it? Chances are that you may have suffered from this nasty virus as a child. Why do I ask? Because it caused by the same virus! After a chicken pox attack, the virus may lay hidden in the nerves, particularly of the paired nerves arising from our spine. These nerve roots are the grand daddy of all the nerves of the body and all nerves arise from them. The virus may get reactivated later in life, either while the host is down with an infection or has a weak immune system. The virus then starts spreading over a particular nerve root. If we follow the diagram abvove T2 or T3 will correspond to the area of the arm pit. This behavior is very peculiar to this virus. It is almost diagnostic of zoster infection. Thus for example the picture of the man in the first picture shows an involvement of the left T5 or T6 dermatome. They have not particular reason of invading the arm pit apart from the fact that they were in that particular area before the deep sleep. They have to abide by the geographical area supplied by the nerve root they are invading. If it happens to be T2, T3 and T4 area, you will find a nasty rash in the arm pit area. Shingles can involve any nerve root. It can for example involve the ophthalmic artery and involve the eye which can cause vision loss.
