Black Lace Dress Help

What jewelry to wear with black and nude lace dress?

I'm wearing a similar dress with all silver and diamond jewelery. If you wear black jewelery it will cheapen it. I'm using shiny (fake) diamond earings and necklace. Here's my dress:

I have some layers but am getting my hair curled and put up.

How to add a pop of color to a black lace dress?

Oh there are so many different options!
1. Metallic (Silver/Gold)- some kind of silver/gold layered necklace, 1 thick/lots of thin silver/gold bangles, black pointed ballet flats with metallic tips (or they can be pumps)
2.Pastel/Neon color (coral, mint, pastel pink, lavender, periwinkle... etc.)- bubble necklace of whatever color you choose (http://www.thebudgetbabe.com/uploads/2012/201208/jcrewbubblenecklace.jpg), arm candy in whatever color (with a watch in that color) with sandals or ballet flats or pumps in whatever color you choose
3. Solid basic color (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)- a necklace like this with stuff all around and you can't see the chain in whatever color you choose (http://s7.jcrew.com/is/image/jcrew/59823_PK5701?$ary_tn250$), a glass beaded bracelet in the color you chose, black pumps or black stilettos
There are so many more ideas, I just can't think of any. I just did necklaces and bracelets because rings are too specific and I don't know if you have your ears pierced. You can wear an emijay or a bow or a headband in the color you chose. I only thought of one colored ways, but there are definitely ways to get color combinations with more than one color.

What Color Nails With A Black/Nude Lace Dress?

You could do a nuetral nude color if you don't want draw attention to your nails. If you do, I suggest bright solid colors. You can go with any neon or you could do a hot pink or orange( or a bright peach color). Pretty much you can't go wrong with it as long as its a bright color and solid. Personally I would go with a minty color because it would be really pretty against the black and nude colors of your dress.

Let us know what you pick :)

What shoe color matches with a black lace dress?

Silver or nude heels will be the best. Try something like this.

Black lace dress, black tights, what color shoes?

I got a hi low hem lace black dress and i'm wearing that with black tights. I think having black shoes will be too much black. What color shoes should i think about getting?
Thanks

Should I wear gold or silver jewelry with a black lace dress and nude shoes?

Since you're wearing nude shoes, go with Gold. Gold and nude are similar, silver and nude are two totally different colors.

What color corsage would you wear with a black and nude lace dress?

Definitely red, or something that adds a nice splash of color. If the nude is warmer, you could go with fiery orange. More neutral, red. Colder, maybe a magenta or even a light pink if you want a summery vibe. Im picturing a very pretty mixed one with some smaller orange and red flowers. You could even go for a purple if you want

Can you please answer my question? Thank you:)

Do you lace a corset dress?

Yup. Best get someone else to do it for you. You can do it yourself, but it takes a lot of practice, isn't easy, and will never be quite as good. The ends of the laces should be at your waist, so that is the tightest part. Leave room at the bust to breathe a little, and the hips so you can move, and just pull the laces as tight as is comfortable at the natural waist. Not too tight. You should be able to reduce the waist a couple of inches at first, then more over time as you get used to it. If it hurts, take it off.

A few days ago, I went to school wearing a black lace dress with wide fishnet tights, black ankle boots, a leather jacket, and a black studded choker. A teacher said, "Oh, look at you, you look like you're going to a club.” What are your thoughts?

My ex boyfriends daughter used to get harassed by her teachers for dressing goth. They told her she’d never find a job looking like that. They said she’d “Grow out of it” or that it was a “phase” and that she was “too pretty” to be dressing in such a dark goth girl style. She was a gorgeous girl and actully looked like Avril Levigne. Then one Day her father and I walked into an open house at her school dressed in all black, and looking like rockstars.Teacher: “Oh. My. You must be ___’s parents.”Dad: (knowing what the teacher said about his daughter) “Yes, we are and we actually have jobs, own a home and drove here in a Porsche” he said as he dangled the keys to his Porsche in her face. “We’d appreciate it if you’d stop harassing our daughter about the way she likes to dress”Teacher: (gulping hard and looking around at all of the other parents who suddenly stopped talking when we strolled into the classroom) “Of Course”The moral of the story:Wear what you want and don’t let anyone make you feel like you don’t belong or need to subscribe to their limiting beliefs about who you are, as a person. Their judgment of you says more about them, than it does about you. They are basically saying “I need you to dress like this so I can feel better”I wore leather pants, concert shirts and black to school on the daily. My nickname in high school was “Black Gina”.I always stood out and I’ve never fit in, because that was how I meant to be. It’s how I am to this day. My worst nightmare is to show up somewhere and run into someone else who’s wearing what I’m wearing!! It’s why I became a designer and seamstress in the first place.A few years ago I made the front page of my hometown newspaper because of the work I’ve been doing for celebrities since 2012. I was wearing black and smoking a cigar.Be who you are, do what you love and rest will follow!

Can you dye a lace dress and have it look good?

It depends on what the lace is made of, and on whether the dress is machine washable. You can't dye anything that is not washable.

If the lace is made of nylon, you can use acid dyes or all-purpose dyes, along with vinegar and extremely hot water, in the washing machine. If you use all-purpose dyes, be careful to only hand-wash the dress in the future, separately, in cold water, because all-purpose dyes such as Rit run badly in the wash.

If the lace is made of polyester, you would have to boil the dress for an hour with a special kind of polyester dye called disperse dye. You cannot buy disperse dye locally, but instead will have to buy it by mail-order. It seems unlikely that a lace dress will be able to survive the abuse of boiling it for a while, so you would be better off not even trying it. Professional dyers will not be able to do it, either.

Cotton lace is easy to hand-dye permanently using a cool water fiber reactive dye, such as Procion MX dye, but cotton lace is much harder to find than nylon or polyester lace.
