Black Pieces In Vomit

My dog threw up wood pieces?

So I went to let my dog out of his crate this morning and he had thrown up at some point during the night but there were pieces of wood in the the throw up, I am guessing he ate some in the backyard or something. I am just concerned that a piece may have splintered off in his throat. He is still eating fine and playing and drinking fine and the throw up was at least a few hours ago (it was starting to spread so had obviously been there a few hours) do you think this is something to be concerned about? Or we would have known by now if there was something wrong?

Vomited black stuff...help please?

I spent the whole day sick and then at night I threw up oatmeal, then this whole load of black stuff, then bright red blood.

The black stuff didn't look like coffee grounds though. It was like torn pieces of thin black sheets kind of like seaweed. I was also coughing a lot the night before and would often wake up with fluid in my mouth that I would have to spit out, and I found some of this black stuff when I was brushing my teeth in the morning.

I didn't eat any seaweed nor anything black the whole week...my family is saying it might be dried blood but my description doesn't match anything online. Help please??? ;w;

What should I do if I am throwing up black vomit?

You don’t give much information, so I am going to assume that you did not eat anything that was black, or ingest activated charcoal. My assumption would be that your description is that of “coffee ground” emesis, which indicates that you are bleeding in the stomach area. You should already have seen a doctor, but if you haven’t do so.

What might be some reasons why my dog is throwing up black vomit?

Q: What might be some reasons why my dog is throwing up black vomit?A: Please get your dog to a veterinarian immediately. That's most likely blood making the vomit black. Even if it's not blood—it can't be good. I've had several dogs do this, and it's always been near the end when it happens. The vet can certainly extend your dog's life, but really the most important part is to improve his remaining quality of life and ensure he's comfortable. My heart breaks for you and your puppy. I'm sorry.

I threw up black stuff?

I have that too and I smoke a lot too...weed and ciggs. Its black tar resin that's you have vomited...I no longer smoke. Its really not nice and just fills up ur lungs with so much crap. I'm so happy I can finally breathe.

Black spots in stools?

I've had a lot of intestinal problems for a very long time. I even had a colonoscopy and it showed everything was normal. I sometimes am not even able to eat because I get so nauseated and ill after eating and the pain in my intestines is intense. I was diagnosed with IBS, yet I have never been tested for ulcers. Lately my stomach has been burning so badly that my doctor gave me acid blockers (to take only temporarily).

To my question: I often get black speckles all in my stools. They look like coffee grinds (yet all the info says it's an ulcer symptom if you vomit coffee grinds, does this not apply for it in the stools?)

Lately, I've been getting large black spots in my stools. Now is this what the doctors mean when they ask if there's blood in the stools? I can never get a clear answer.

My mother is vomiting blood and some thick meat tissues. She has bitter mouth and redish black stool. What may be reasons?

Kindly be patient,I understand your anxiety. But there are diagnotic investigations to be carried out to rule out the cause of this.Meanwhile,as she is hospital she will be under supervision and her symptoms will be treated.Best wishes and wishing your mother a speedy recovery.

What does vomiting gray mean?

I’ve heard of clear, white (mucus-like,) yellow, green, bloody, brown, black and “coffee ground-like” vomitus, but never grey. I couldn’t find much on this, so I asked a gastroenterologist friend. He said it could be a mixture of digested food and stomach acids. You should see a doctor about this.

How should you treat black diarrhea?

You asked: How can I treat dark black diarrhea?I do not feel qualified to inform you as to how you treat this finding. However, depending on how long you’ve had this, e.g. one night, a week, or months, the best way to have it addressed is to consult your Primary Care Physician, sooner rather than later. Before you automatically conclude, as advised by most that the cause of a black stool is due to blood from an upper gastrointestinal tract source and IF you have the mindset and patience to read, consider reviewing this short URL:Black Stool - Symptoms, Causes, Treatments

Dog vomiting, rawhide?

Hopefully by this time your dog is better! I stopped giving rawhide to my dog when I read of the chemicals that can be in some of them. I also wasn't to thrilled when I had to reach down my dogs throat when he was choking on chunks of rawhide that had gotten stuck.(never mind the foam mess on my rug) Scary and gross all at the same time. (more scary though) I started giving my dog Free Range Dog Chews all natural Knuckles Bones. Great alternative.
