Blackberry Playbook Headphone Jack Not Working

Why can't phones use WiFi technology to transfer information with each other like Bluetooth?

Phones use WiFi technology to transfer information just like bluetooth these days and as technology keeps evolving at speed of light, things are getting even better. How WiFi technology shares information:First phone turns on hotspotSecond phone turns on WiFi and connects to the hotspot of the first phoneBoth devices share mac addresses/IP addresses and with a common open port, any information can be shared between the two phonesBottom line; phones can transfer information with WiFi technology just like bluetooth.Note: WiFi transfers information faster than bluetooth and thus it is very efficient for transferring large files while bluetooth is still used for some wireless communication that doesn’t require large data transfer and you might not find any WiFi technology equivalent in those areas because bluetooth performs just fine.

How do you record phone interviews on a Blackberry?

Definitely check the laws, but the solution is low tech.  You're looking for something like this:Plug that into your headphone jack, make sure it has the ability to take the mic input as well as the audio output.  Plug your hands free mic into one of those holes, and then take another 1/8" cable and go directly into your favorite recording device.

What one is the best pc tablets?

hi there, what do you think on tablets? & the best ones? i i'm thinking of getting one & i'm not to sure what one! so if anyone has got an tablet let me know what you think is the best !

Audiophiles: Portable music player: Is there a High-End portable music device that will play Hi-Def music in FLAC, WAV, etc. and take 500Gb?

I have  hooked up a Bluetooth receiver into the auxiliary headphone input of the Head unit. A windows 10 tablet running Jriver or Blackberry Playbook tablet running Neutron (connected via Bluetooth to receiver) is then used as a portable transport source, running Flac and other music files. To support more files (+ 500GB), you may look at a wireless Seagate 2 TB Hardrive (Wifi Connection), powered by USB that is tapped from lighter socket. Your entire high quality music glove boxed!. The Playbook by the way has an excellent sounding headphone out put and more often than not I connect this directly by cable to the aux in of the Head unit, foregoing Bluetooth and lacklustre sounding Headphone output of Thinkpad tablet. So in summary perhaps follow a home system architecture and have a tablet (Portable, supports most file formats) as transport and wireless Hard drive (Supports +500GB) as storage, being mindful of the possibly poor sounding headphone out put of some tablets, in which case opt for Bluetooth! Works for me, though I just cant seem to find a sweet spot in this ever growling car!

How do I mirror my Android's screen to my TV without a HDMI cable?

If your Android device is higher than 4.0, then if you you have a TV, Blu-ray player or Console that supports Screen Mirroring, you can use Wifi Direct to mirror it to your bigger screen. Since the screen mirroring protocol is different for each receiver, then you will need to read the documentation for it. These can usually be found on the website of the device manufacturer.

Why did the MP3 audio format succeed despite of being relatively inferior?

As others have mentioned, MP3 got there first. But I think there’s more to it:Most of the more recent encoding algorithms excel by delivering the same quality at a lower bitrate than MP3 can — that is, you can get just as good quality from MP3 as any of the others, simply by encoding at a higher rate than they require (note that I’m talking only about delivery of the final product to the consumer, not anything that happens during the production process). And due to significant improvements in the cost of storage and the cost of transmission, the disadvantages of greater filesize/bitrate became considerably less important at the time when those “more efficient” encoders were being introduced. Why does it matter whether your music collection is 100 Gig of something else or 200 Gig of MP3s when a 1 Tb disc costs under a hundred USD?
