Blackberry Water Damage But Didn

Dropped iPhone in water, screen is black, sound still works?

Listen to me. Your phone is lost. Ill tell you why. You heard someone text you which means the phone is on. You leaving the phone on allowed water to pass through the circuit board and it fried the connectors if the screen went black and soon the battery will be gone. Rice won't help because water has already made it. I had a iPod I washed and it had detergent in the screen. I turned it off and left it in rice for a week and the detergent is gone and it works perfectly. When the phone is submerge red it's pretty much gone

Can BB guns really do that much damage?

yes, absolutely.

However, the BB gun must hit a handful of vulnerable spots.

A lot of BB guns have the power to pop an eyeball and continue through into the brain, killing the person. Even those with not quite enough power to kill can still blind people.

Besides the eye, the temple is a vunlerable spot and the BB gun can kill there, or it can enter an open mouth and kill. (Happened to a kid being attacked by his brother. Kid was lying on the ground yelling for brother to stop, brother kept on shooting thinking it would just cause pain. BB entered the open mouth, went througth the back of the throat and killed the kid)

What happens if I don't send my damaged phone back to AT&T?

I upgraded my AT&T blackberry to AT&T HTC inspire and lost it three days later and called AT&T they connected me to Asurion and I got the replacement for $125. but two days later the new phone started acting up and wasn't displaying anything on the screen. it was just the sound that i could hear but can't see anything on the phone. so I called AT&T back and told them about what happened they connected me back to asurion and they send another phone without any charge and asked me to return the damaged phone. and few days later the damaged phone started working, so i was wondering what happens if I don’t send that phone back to AT&T. are they going to charge me the retail price or the deductible of $125?
Has anyone experienced this kind of situation? And what happens if I send any AT&T phone back to them? Will they accept it? Or if I tell them that I lost the damaged phone?

Microwave stopped working, then started working again, why?

I microwaved some food for about 7 minutes, I came to check on it a few minutes later, the food was hot but I noticed the light was off in the microwave and the digital display wasn't working. I didn't really think about it and went and ate my food. Came back and realized the microwave wasn't working at all. The buttons wouldn't work and the light and digital display wouldn't come on. So I moved it to another outlet to see if the outlet was the problem, and the microwave still didn't work. So I thought, okay, I'll throw it out when the trash comes on Monday. I come back 40 minutes later, and just for kicks, tried plugging it back in. And now it works, lights up, and heats food?!?!?!

Can someone explain to me why it did this? We've had the microwave for a few years now and it has experienced a good amount of use. I'm okay with having to throw it out if it is dying, but I'm just curious as to why it would suddenly stop working and then start working perfectly after 40 minutes. I'm curious as to the mechanism as to why it did this.

Thanks a bunch

I dropped my iPhone 4S in water but...?

it still works; it was submerged for about 3 seconds (if that) and as soon as I got it out I dried it off with a towel. I didn't know to turn it off but I wasn't using it until I got home, and it worked fine. I decided to test it out and I turned it off and on, but the normal loading screen didn't show up, it just looked glitchy. I took this as a bad sign but when I actually got to using it (it did take just a little bit longer to start up) it works perfectly.

Aside from the power off/on thing, it seems to be working fine, I backed up all my information onto my laptop just in case, too. The water damage indicator in the headset jack and the power cord jack isn't red from what I can tell, everything is still white...I had the phone in a wallet style case, so I'm sure that helped, but still. I removed the sim card and it was dry but I dried it again with a cloth anyways, but I can't open the entire iPhone to check the battery right now.

I've heard of people dropping their iPhones in water and they working afterwards but succumbing to water corrosion later on; I don't want this to happen, and I'm wondering what I can do to prevent it, or possibly if there's some way for me to determine whether I'm even at risk of this happening? I've heard of the rice/saline packet tricks, but I don't have either at the moment and I don't know when I can get them next.

What do you suggest I do? Am I worrying over nothing? I know Apple warranty doesn't cover water damage, so, worst case scenario, what happens if my phone DOES become unusable? Will I have to pay full price for another one, or can I just send it in to repair the corroded parts?

Sorry I'm asking so many questions, I just really want to know what my options are here because I'm kind of occupied at the moment (as far as dealing with this situation goes). I really appreciate any insight into my situation, thank you!

My phone won't stop vibrating after getting wet in the rain. What should I do?

Water is your phones mortal enemy. If water gets into your phone, your touch may go out, your speaker may stop working, and eventually may stop working completely. Here are some things you should know if you get water or any other liquid into your phone.Never Try to power on, or charge the phone, as you already know, water and electricity do not mix.Don’t attempt to open the phone, if you don’t know what you are doing you can damage the phone.Top parts that tend to be damaged by water are the screen and the battery.Even if you put your phone in rice, water can continue to corrode the parts on the inside of the phone. If you take anything away from this, make sure you take your device to a professional so that it can be properly inspected. If you shoot a glass window with a pistol, on which side will the glass scatter?

Think about the laws of physics. If an object impacts an object with enough force to overcome the second objects resistance, then the momentum of the first object with push the second object back. Shoot a window from the outside, the glass will fly inside.

Can my BB gun hurt or kill a cat?

So I bought a BB gun with metal pellets from Walmart just so that I can use it for shooting in the river and to possibly protect my dog from coyotes. But now there is this nuisance cat that constantly bothers our dogs and fights with one of our cats who is unable to fight back because of a past injury. My mom has been trying to keep it away with her BB gun but I am afraid that it is too strong. It has metal pellets too. I have just watched a video on YouTube about this guy that used the same BB gun as mine to test it on a loaf of bread and it only went through the first piece. It didn't seem that strong but I am afraid that if I use it to scare off the cat it could hurt it. Now just to make it clear I do love animals and I have no intention of killing it or hurting it. I did happen to have a dream that I shot the cat from only 2 or 3 feet away and it put a hole in his back leg and the cat started screaming in pain so after that dream I've been questioning myself about if I should use it or not. Just to make it clear I will never shoot the cat or any animal at a close range like that. Please no bad comments. Again I do not want to hurt the cat in anyway just to keep it away.

How many shots from a BB gun would it take to kill a person?

Hey Kim,Not a real cool question. Having trouble sleeping, bad dreams perhaps; or are you crying out for help? Your firing squad will probably have to beat your victim to death with their genuine Red Ryder Rifles, before the BBs get them.Image Red Ryder Model 1938 Daisy Outdoor Products. Daisy will give the specs, and you can google the rest.Generically Speaking:A BB usually has 4.5 mm diameter and a mass of 0.45 grams or 6.9 grains and travels at about 380 feet per second; that means it has about 2.25 foot pounds when it hits (within 15 - 20 feet). That the energy to move one pound 2 1/4 feet.Going 380 fps a 4.5 mm BB will exert 5 joules of energy. That’s only if it hits a solid, inflexible surface. If it hits skin, that is not usually enough energy to pierce it.To go through skin a lot of opinion is that it takes a minimum of 100 psi. I don’t know I can’t find any reference data, just some speculation on How much pressure does it take to pierce human skin?Sounds to me like Ron Shipe, was hit in the femoral nerve (the major nerve that serves the tissues of the thigh and leg, including the muscles and skin). Hey Marine remember all those nasty nerve clusters down there. If you miss the femoral artery your cut can still mess up that cluster and Bob’s your uncle, nice revenge though, be glad she’s on your side.BB’s, even Airsoft’s plastic ones are not toys and ought to be treated with the same respect you treat any dangerous tool.Regards
