Body Aches No Other Symptoms

Low grade fever and aches no other symptoms?

Last night I went to bed feeling tired and my whole body was aching. I went to sleep woke up this morning still slightly uncomfortable and took my temperature it was at 99.9 F. I have no other symptoms, I had my flu shot about a month ago and I still don't feel great but I do feel somewhat better. Does anyone have any clue what happen? My family said to just take some Day-quil and see how I felt later and if things didn't improve in a day or two we'd head to the doctor.

Fever , aches, no other symptoms?

I suffered from an illness for about 24 hours yesterday that I do not understand. I had a temperature of 100 degrees, I was freezing even though my house was very warm, my body was aching all over and I felt extremely weak. There was no nausea or coughing or any other symptoms. What could this have been?

Fever of a 101 and up for more than 4. Days.Body aches. No sore throat. No congestion. No coughing. No stomach problems.?

take a hot bath for the body aches. If you have any epsom salt or sea salt, you can add that to the water, and it will also help with body aches..
Rest, and drink lots of fluids to flush out bacteria
eat small light meals so that your body isn't spending all its energy on digestion - that gives it energy for healing.
Stop taking advil - when you are sick with the flu, your body temp goes up FOR A REASON.. some antibodies only kick in when the body is warmer.. by taking advil, which lowers your temp, you are making it impossible for the body to make those antibodies.. meaning you will be sick much longer. Try not to suppress symptoms - the body is smart - it is trying to heal itself.
If your fever gets over 103, then there might be cause for concern..
hope you feel better soon.

I have aches, chills, a fever but no other flu-like symptoms?

The flu shot doesn't protect against all strains of flu. It could be flu, it could be anything. Take care of yourself - eat fresh fruit and vegetables, drink lots of water, and rest. If you're not feeling better soon, see a doctor.

If I have body aches and a running nose but no fever is that the flu?

Flu symptoms will have an abrupt onset. You will feel fine one day and then the next day you will not feel well. While cold symptoms can make you feel bad for a few days, flu symptoms can make you feel quite ill for a few days to weeks. Cold symptoms usually begin with a sore throat, which usually goes away after a day or two. Nasal symptoms, runny nose, and congestion follow, along with a cough by the fourth and fifth days. Fever is uncommon in adults, but a slight fever is possible. Flu symptoms are usually more severe than cold symptoms and come on quickly. Symptoms of swine flu or other flu include sore throat, fever, headache, muscle aches and soreness, congestion, and cough.
The body aches and runny nose could be due to a variety of things. There are many things to consider when deciding to take a medication, such as other medications you are on, what medications you have tried to use before and how long you have been sick. Your best thing to do it go to your local pharmacy to consult with your pharmacist, because they will be able to ask you more questions. They may recommend an antihistamine for your runny nose or ibuprofen for your body aches, but it is difficult to know exactly what you have with so few symptoms.
In the mean time, stay hydrated and to get your flu shot! You can get your flu shot at any local pharmacy and it is quick and easy. The CDC recommends that anyone over the age of 6 months because it is the best way to prevent the flu. To prevent the flu you should also cover your nose and mouth, wash your hands, avoid touching your eyes, avoid contact with sick people, and stay home if you are sick until at least 24 hours after you no longer have a fever. Good luck and I hope you feel better!!
