Indeed a needle in a bone hurts. Anyway if it's on both outsides of both feet, so to the far left of your left foot and the far right to the right foot, it is your "ankle bone". I think it's part of your fiba, but it's been a bit of time since anatomy class and then again that was for animals no humans....

Hello, First of all I am sorry that you have this pain, it must be frustrating. Based on what you are describing it could be your heel bone? Otherwise it can be anything from a case of Achilles Tendinitis to Plantar Fasciitis or just strain due to overuse. In order to diagnose you better please answer these questions: 1) Do you have high or low arches? 2) Can you wear a shoe normally? 3) Is it painful to the touch? 4) Do you see any redness, swelling or bruising? 5) What kind of shoes you usually wear? 6) Is it more painful first thing in the morning? Here are a few things you can do right now: 1) Ice your heel at least 4 times a day, either by applying ice directly or by rolling a frozen bottle under your heel and arch when you sit down. 2) Wrap it up with an ace bandage. 3) Elevate your foot and rest as much as you can. Lump on my right foot, under the ankle bone, that looks and feels like a second ankle bone?
I have just noticed a lump on my inner right foot, under the protruding ankle bone, but a little bit further back. It feels like bone and almost feels like it is an extension coming off my ankle bone (although the connection is not clearly visible, I can feel it, and while visibly it looks like a round lump, it feels more like long rod with a rounded end). The lump is nearly as big as my ankle bone, and I don't have the same lump on my other foot. It is not painful at all, and I only just noticed it this morning. Is it anything to worry about? Any idea what it may be? A friend of mine had a bone tumor on her knee recently, so that's all I can think of! Thanks!
I hit the right side of my foot (cuboid bone)?
I recently hit the right side of my foot on a metal piece of my bed and the pain started instantaneously.So then I decided to touch it afterwards and it stings and hurts so much but there s only a tiny bruise and not alot of swelling at all should I be worried?
Bone that stick out of my heel?
the name says it all really, i have 1 bone on each of my heel, that sticks out and makes it VERY hard to wear some shoes, on my right heel the bone pokes out more on the right side, as for the left, its pokes out the left side, also, i know everyone has bones that may stick out on there heel but mine are unlike anyone else's heels trust me. if anyone knows what the heck is up with my feet please let me know. PS: i play soccer and i can barely wear cleats, i ALWAYS get blisters directly on top of the bones that poke out from the heel.
Part of ankle bigger on one foot than other...what's wrong?
So the inner ankle bone (like the inner bony part the sticks out where your leg meets your foot) of my left foot is bigger than the same bone on my right foot. I have not injured it recently and it does not hurt and I can walk on it, it's been like that for over two months and I don't know what happened. Can someone please help me/ tell me what's wrong because I tried googling this but nothing came up since I do not know the exact name of the bone... Any help would be nice...THANK YOU!
My daughter has numbness in the big toe on one foot, numbness below the ankle in the other foot, and shooting pain in one of her feet. What are the causes of this and what kind of doctor would be the best for her to see?
Probably nothing ... but could be a serious problem, so she should probably get an MRI of her spine to rule out possibilities.She should see a doctor who can order an MRI, and has experience with neuro problems. A good pediatrician who will give these symptoms the respect they deserve would do. Better to get an MRI soon than to wait months to see a pediatric neurologist.The MRI is worth any number of visits to specialists. Do not accept a "see you later" diagnosis for this one, please!
Ankle/ (talus bone) problems?
when i move my foot to the side, one of the bones (talus i hting it is) seems to be sticking out abnormally compared to all otehr feet i have seen. I have gone to a few podiatrists and the addressed the pain and weakness by use of an aircast adn other methods to help repair the tendons. but the bone seems to still be sticking out.
