What are some of the best young adult fiction novels?
Okay I have a HUGE list of young adult fiction novels that I love! There is obviously the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I haven't heard of one person that doesn't adore it. I still haven't completed the series as of now, but I loved the parts that I have completed.I also really adore The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. It's an on-going series. The last book comes out this year! It's a fairy tale retelling set in the future and no, its not just meant for girls, a lot of guys love the series too! Its simply amazing! There's also the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. I haven't started the series yet, but I've read a lot of reviews and tonnes of people have recommended it to me. The main protagonist of the series is Caelena who is an assassin .... I mean isn't that bad-ass enough?!!If you're into dystopian, you have to try the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. I loved the first two books of the series, the last book..not so much...but it was a satisfying ending. Also you've gotta try the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth. I really liked this series. There are mixed feelings towards the last book though, but a lot of people enjoyed it overall. There's also The Mortal Instruments and also The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. I haven't completed the TMI yet. As of now, I'm not really attached to the characters but people told me that the series does get better and I have to give it a try.If you want to read a stand-alone, there's Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I've heard nothing but positive reviews about this book and every book blogger raves about it.I guess all these books are fine for now. Happy Reading!
What are some good books about the holocaust for young adults?
The Book Thief, by Markus ZusakThis is one of the best books I have ever read, and one of my ultimate favorites.Zusak has created a work that deserves the attention of sophisticated teen and adult readers. Death himself narrates the World War II-era story of Liesel Meminger from the time she is taken, at age nine, to live in Molching, Germany, with a foster family in a working-class neighborhood of tough kids, acid-tongued mothers, and loving fathers who earn their living by the work of their hands. The child arrives having just stolen her first book–although she has not yet learned how to read–and her foster father uses it, The Gravediggers Handbook, to lull her to sleep when shes roused by regular nightmares about her younger brothers death. Across the ensuing years of the late 1930s and into the 1940s, Liesel collects more stolen books as well as a peculiar set of friends: the boy Rudy, the Jewish refugee Max, the mayors reclusive wife (who has a whole library from which she allows Liesel to steal), and especially her foster parents. Zusak not only creates a mesmerizing and original story but also writes with poetic syntax, causing readers to deliberate over phrases and lines, even as the action impels them forward. Death is not a sentimental storyteller, but he does attend to an array of satisfying details, giving Liesels story all the nuances of chance, folly, and fulfilled expectation that it deserves. An extraordinary narrative.Zusak's narration style is much different than most writers, and so brilliantly done that by the end, you can't help but love the characters, and appreciate the narrator. One of my favorite things was how Death choose to view the world, he saw the colors of the sky, then the people, and gave such rich descriptions of the colors, that it made you wonder, “what color will the sky be when Death comes for me?”Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to any adult, it is one of those unique books that usually only come around once in a life time.Enjoy.

Adult fairy tales/fantasy book suggestions? Like stardust?
Along the lines of Stardust. Not "adult" as in Harlequin romance novels..just nice romantic fairy tales for adults. I've been reading far too much serious stuff lately and looking for something different...seeing as how I've never really let my inner 6 year old go...some fantasy titles might be right up my alley. If you know the author, that'd be great...otherwise just titles and I can look them up. Thanks! :)
Are there any good and interesting novel suggestions for young adults specifically?
Chelsa Quinn Yarbro’s St Germaine series. Yes, he’s a vampire, but one you’ve yet to encounter. St. Germaine stories stand alone yet have a thread running through them that unites characters and events throughout history. The main character has taken on the responsibility of curtailing the damage caused by unenlightened members of the clan. History buffs will appreciate the research behind the historic atmosphere in these stories, that’s why I started reading them…I’m not even a fan of vampires.
I need help finding 700+ page young adult fantasy/fiction books for my 12 year old sister, any suggestions?
The Lord of the Rings triology The Wizard of Earthsea books by Ursula le Guin. All 4 books together come to over 800 pages. I would advise parental discretion for this... but i was 12 when I read the first book, the clan of the cave bear. The Earth mother series by Jean M. Auel. Book 1: the clan of the cave bear, Book 2: the valley of horses, Book 3: the mammoth hunters, Book 4: the plains of passage Book 5: Shelters of Stone Each book is excellent, well written and 500 - 700+ pages per book.)
