Book Where People Are Trapped In A Dome Flying Aliens Whats It Called

Anyone Recommend Post-Apocalyptic Teen Books?

The Gone Series by Michael Grant

In the blink of an eye. Everyone disappears. GONE.
Except for the young. Teens. Middle schoolers. Toddlers. But not one single adult. No teachers, no cops, no doctors, no parents. Just as suddenly, there are no phones, no internet, no television. No way to get help. And no way to figure out what's happened.
Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents--unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers--that grow stronger by the day.
It's a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen, a fight is shaping up. Townies against rich kids. Bullies against the weak. Powerful against powerless. And time is running out: On your birthday, you disappear just like everyone else...

It is crazy! These kids are trapped in this weird, magic dome around california, they called the FAYZ and it has cut them from the outside world so they dont know if they are the only people left or if they are safe. They dont know anything. When the teens are forced to take over, everything goes crazy! They waste food and water and toddlers cant survive on their own when "everyone takes care of themself". Things crash and burn and people are starving to the point of starvation and they dont know what lerks in the Mine in the middle of the desert...

It is so hectic XD there is like 5 books in the series so far and they just keep getting better. The start is a little slow but half way it gets intense. I suggest this book

This is the book trailer for the 3rd book that basically explains everything you need to know. Dont worry, there arent any spoilers!

What would happen to a building it it was 1,500 miles high and stuck out into outer space?

It would crumble to the ground. The Space elevator concept goes out past geostationary orbit to a counterweight so that the structure gets pulled tight and doesn't have to support it's own weight but that's 23,000 miles away.

A rotovator could be 1,500 miles long but it wouldn't be able to stop on the Earth as the tension is from it's rotating. At best, it could momentarily touch down before going up again. A rotavator would probably dock with an airplane in midair.

You can't take the bible literally, it was after all edited and printed by man. The King James version as wonderful as it is, is still a translation of a translation, of a translation, of a few selected scriptures someone chose, no one has seen the original bible. We don't even know what scriptures were in the first known catholic bible, the existing bible was put together from scratch afterwards, there are many versions of the bible before our current bible.

There was a science fiction show where a preacher in a post apocalyptic world kept holding a book up and saying, it was written as justification for everything he said. At the end of the story he was overcome and all the pages were found to be blank. The bible is basically used in the same way. All quotes are taken out of context.

The quote you made could even refer to building an O'Neill Cylinder, Bernal Sphere or Stanford Torus in space as with such structures there would eventually be more people living in the habitats than on Earth and few people would even have been to Earth.

What does Hinduism say about the shape of the Earth?

Have you read the story of Dashavtar? If you have read then you wouldn’t have got this question.Let me tell you the story of the Varaha avatar Lord Vishnu.Hiranyaksha, son of Diti and Kashyapa, gets a boon from Lord Brahma that he cannot be killed by a list of species and creatures and humans and devatas. But he forgets to mention Varaha, a boar. After getting the boon, he conquers all the three worlds and threatenes the Devtas who run to Lord Vishnu for help. In the meanwhile Hiranyaksha boasts in front of Narada muni, that he the most powerful one in the whole universe. But Narada Muni says that you are not powerful one untill you defeat Lord Vishnu. So, the daitya asks for the secret of enraging Lord Vishnu so that he comes for a batte with him. Narada muni insists on kidnapping Bhudevi (earth) since she is his wife.Hiranyaksha takes the advice (or rather a plan of Devtas and Narada muni) and kidnaps Bhudevi and hides her in Ksheer sagara. The enraged Lord takes form of a wild Boar, the Varaha and kills the daitya. Then, the Bhudevi is brought out of the Ksheer sagar by the Varaha carrying her as in the pictureAnother instance is that the subject of Geography is called Bhugolashastra, Bhu meaning earth and Gola meaning round. Space science is called Khagolashastra. Khagola meaning science of the round planet earth. So I hope your doubt is cleared.:)Edit:-More proofs for round shape of the earth:Aryabhattiam: Bhūgolah sarvato vrtah - earth is round from all sidesRigveda: Cakrānāshah parīnaham prthivyā - people who reside on the surface of Earth's circumferenceSource: Eternally Talented India-108 facts (book by Ramakrishna Math)Ps:- Sorry for the low resolution of the pic.
