Tough one! HOWEVER... First of all your boyfriend should be happy that others are calling you hot and whatnot. I mean that's how I am when someone (especially a stranger) acknowledges my girlfriends hotness, mostly because we're very secure. I know she wouldn't F around with anybody so it's all good. But your boyfriend sounds somewhat insecure. I used to be the same way and it just takes time to get over things, you know. Anyhow, this is a very case-to-case thing. You need to evaluate the situation and take it from there. If your guy will flip beyond belief and if you can't handle that then obviously don't tell him. But if it's gonna eat you up inside then you almost have to tell him. Honestly it's not like you cheated so you DO NOT HAVE TO TELL HIM but again it's about how you feel. If you honestly have no feelings for this other guy then just tell him that. That's probably the most important thing. Be frank and to the point. If you are not, he will badger you constantly, which is not right for a "best friend" to do to his GF. I mean, honesty is the best policy, but a true gentleman would have confronted your BF about this, not you. This other guy needs to know you're not single and even if you were he's not your type. You first off understand that your boyfriend is a human and will always find other humans, including yourself, to be attractive. The question you should ask yourself (and him) is will he act on this? We all find another person attractive or like another person, but we have control over ourselves. We control whether or not we act on these thoughts.So ask yourself do you trust your boyfriend. As long as he’s not doing anything to damage that trust, you have very little to worry about. If he keeps putting himself in questionable situations or you don’t have a lot of trust for me, then it may be best to put a line in the sand or end the relationship. But generally speaking, this goes with any person who has a close friend of the opposite sex. If you find them attractive and even like them but are in a relationship, you simply don’t put yourself in any questionable situations and don’t act on those feelings.This also goes for your friend. She should have the respect to not damage your relationship by helping your boyfriend cheat.Remember, it takes 2 to tango. Cheating takes a willingness from both parties. So if your boyfriend acts on these thoughts, I’d get rid of the guy as well as the girl.

I don't think it is possible to prioritize a best girlfriend and a boyfriend. They are in two totally different categories. That's like saying 'who comes first...sister or best friend.' However she should make time for you. You have to be patient. She has to learn how to balance her relationship and her friendships. This takes a while for some people to figure out. She might even go through the stage when everytime she isn't with him all she talks about is him...constantly. Just warning you. =) You seem like a good strong friend...you'll be there for her.
