Which dog breed is best for a house in India?

Time for having a furry friend at your house? These are your best options :Labrador Retriever - The coat needs to be brushed and groomed to maintain its shine. It can grow up to 32 inches tall and can weigh between 25-34 kgs. It can be found in black, dark brown, light brown, golden, beige and cream color. It loves to eat and has a strong tendency to put on weight ;) so exercise is a must!2. Dachshund :Little studs! It’s found in red, black, brown, chocolate and tan colors and lives up to 12-15 years. It requires very less exercise and less food, but has a tendency to put on weight. It’s a funny, playful, intelligent, active and affectionate dog. It is ideal for smaller homes because of its tiny size.3) Pugs :They are tiny in size, up to 15 inches in height and weight around 6/8 kilograms. They have wrinkly faces and bulging dark eyes. They have a tendency to put on weight so their diet needs to be monitored. Hot and humid weather can give them heatstroke as they have a short muzzle.4) PomeranianTheir abundant textured coat requires regular brushing and grooming. During shedding season they shed a lot of hair. They are small dogs about 1.9 to 3.5 kgs and 5 to 11 inches in height. They don’t require much exercise because they are active by nature. Very playful and enthusiastic, especially in the company of children.5) German ShepherdThey have an unflinching loyalty towards their owner. They are one of the most elegant and good looking dogs, about 25 inches tall and weight around 34-43 kgs. Their lifespan is around 12 years. They are very strong and agile dogs and require a lot of energy to be handled with. Their hair coat is small to average and requires regular grooming. They can be trained very well. Most of them are friendly but some of them can be aggressive and ferocious too.My friend  *Labrador

How do we breed a domestic cat with the wild one?

Depending on the kind of wildcat, it may be as simple as “don’t spay or neuter them, and let them run around loose.”The European wildcat, some of the North African and Middle Eastern desert cats, and the Scottish wildcat are all endangered species, because they are all becoming more genetically the domestic version, just by interbreeding with housecats.

Horses used in the Household cavalry?

What breed, or an example of a breed if there are many breeds used, are the jet black horses used in the household cavalry, the men who ride along side the carriage of the queen and that are during the changing of the guard at Buckingham palace. Not the drum horses. see here http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01525/household-cavalry-_1525438i.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/royal-wedding/8387918/Royal-Wedding-charities-in-pictures.html%3Fimage%3D10&usg=__cIZz4CPB8BR5UMC-rikhAFKYaS4=&h=400&w=620&sz=59&hl=en&start=39&zoom=1&tbnid=lVU59V9IBIn2YM:&tbnh=124&tbnw=165&ei=iqK6TYd9lLqxA9CgyNEF&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhousehold%2Bcavalry%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1252%26bih%3D585%26tbm%3Disch0%2C795&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=933&vpy=298&dur=1399&hovh=180&hovw=280&tx=146&ty=138&page=3&ndsp=19&ved=1t:429,r:12,s:39&biw=1252&bih=585

What breed are the black and white procession horses?

The grey horses pulling the carriages are Windsor Greys (not an actual breed but the name given to all the grey horses bred in the royal stables)

Any bay horses you saw were Cleveland Bays

And the black horses being ridden are called black horses of the Household Calvary but I'm not sure of the breed I'll try and find out :)

Cats - Do different breeds of house cats have different personalities?

Most house cats aren't a breed - they are domestics, and the personality comes down to the individual cat. No breed is inherently children friendly or dog friendly - that comes down to training - yes, both children and dogs need to be trained to interact properly with a cat. Within the actual cat breeds, there are different personalities. Some very active and athletic breeds include Bengals, Siamese, Abyssinians and others. There are couch potato breeds like Persians. Most cats of any breed/no breed are playful if you interact with them. If you want more information on the breeds, do a search on TICA and CFA, and you can find pictures and personalities of all the recognized breeds.

What is the most powerful breed of domestic cat pound for pound?

Very difficult question…. Very possible that a mixed breed (domestic short hair) would be the the answer on a case by case basis and what your definition of “powerful”. My inclination is to say Maine Coon or Bengal if you’re interested in purebreds. Both are large breeds so if you’re talking pound for pound, I might guess a Savannah which is a Bengal/African wild cat mix… however, they are not necessarily very big and please don’t quote me on that lol. My biggest kitties are a main coon and a pure black domestic shorthair so it is difficult to specify. I also have an 8 pound orange tabby who packs a punch. In my experience it’s probably on a cat by cat basis and again on your definition of “powerful” (good hunter, territorial???) and your reason for a powerful cat. Generally, “mutts” are the best so check out your local shelter. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

What's the best breed of dog, generally speaking, for home protection of a household with small children?

I would go for a Newfoundland! To be clear, I’ve never actually owned a Newfie, but they’re huge, they’re supposed to be amazing with kids, they’re gentle, and I’m guessing they have an intimidating bark! Their size alone would probably be a deterrent for someone looking to break in.
