Broken Ipad Advice / Help

How much to replace ipad 4 cracked screen?

It's glass, you can't expect it to last forever or withstand up to 25, 50 or 75 lbs before cracking. I would put a screen protector over it and be done. Just enjoy the ipad and if you *really* want to get it replaced, just bring it to a shop that replaces screens. Apple will charge a fee, don't know how much either, as I don't own any apple products, and I'm more careful than most people. I use a case, I don't lean on any devices screen.

I broke my friend's Macbook and iPad air!!!!?

You pay your friend about $1600.

You set the cup down and you knocked it over, but it was his fault? You are in more serious need of an a$$ whuppin than anybody I've ever known.

How to tell my parents I broke my iPad Screen?

So I was watching youtube and I had my iPad on the counter. Then I accidentally hit my iPad and it fell off the counter about 3 feet. It hit the ground and cracked almost all of the bottom left side of my iPad Mini Retina. Help. I'm not sure if my parents have Apple care on this or not, it was for Christmas. I cracked my iPad once before but it was barely noticeable. This time it's very noticeable. What Can I do. Is it worth it to replace the screen or just to buy a new iPad through Apple care. Also I have a whole bunch of games on my iPad that I'm halfway through ( the most important one is San Andreas ) which I don't think can sync progress across devices. Help.

My previous partner bought me iPhone 6s. We broke up and now he wants to get the phone back otherwise the police will be called. what should I do?

A lot of people seem to be suggesting destroying the phone and then giving it back to him. I strongly discourage that. You would be a) acknowledging that he owns it and has a right to it and b) then destroying what you’ve now admitted is his property.I was in a similar situation awhile back. I bought my girlfriend an iPhone and we split the cost of an iPad. When we broke up, I recognized that the iPhone was a gift. I asked her to pay for my half of the iPad (she never did).Bottom line is, unless he can prove that the phone was not a gift and that he was only letting you use it, he’s got a tough road ahead. The police are going to laugh at him. This isn’t criminal; you didn’t steal his property. At best, this is a civil matter and he could take you to small claims court. So he’s either ignorant or bluffing. If he’s bluffing, call his bluff. The police won’t do anything and might tell him to file a claim with small claims court. If that happens, wait for the summons, go to court, and argue that he gave it to you as a gift. You have a pretty good chance of winning that unless he has some kind of evidence that it wasn’t a gift.If he’s ignorant, ignore him. He’ll call the police and they’ll laugh and tell him to work it out.Either way, don’t destroy the phone and don’t give it back to him. He’s going to be hard pressed to prove it wasn’t a gift. Keep the phone and wait for him to actually do something tangible. If you don’t want to wait around, sell the phone and use the money to buy your own phone. He can still take you to court, but you can say you thought it was a gift and you wanted to upgrade.

Cracked iPad mini screen?!?

This has never happened to me before but after 3 long years, my iPad mini screen cracked on the bottom right. I don't know what to do at this point and I would like some advice please?

I've looked through the internet and it's given me mixed ideas on what to do. Some forums said to directly go to apple because if you go to a third party repair man, they won't fix the device for you anymore? (If i interpreted it correctly) But 3rd party vendors are cheaper and quicker on repairs.

Is it worth paying the expensive screen repair from Apple or just go to a 3rd party repair man for a 3 year old ipad mini? If the 3rd party is better, should I still backup my ipad? I have this weekend to fix it asap.

One more question, is a cracked device dangerous to use?

My teacher cracked my iPad. What should I do?

Before you immediately say it's my fault she confiscated it, please read what I have to say. I use my iPad as an ebook reader at school (I am allowed to). At the end of class my teacher locks my iPad. It had a Smart Cover on it. I know the crack is only cosmetic, but it can spread now that is has started. I know it was caused by my teacher because the crack did not exist when I handed it to her and I noticed it after I got it back. I do not want to fix it some way that voids the warranty, because I signed up for AppleCare when I bought it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WCgMw_fpi8&feature=plcp
