Bug Torture For The Winter

Is the winter war considered to be part of WWII or a seperate conflict on its own?

It is a separate conflict, It is however the reason that the Finnish fought on the side of the Germans later when world war two started. Interestingly they never signed on to the Axis and were never dominated by Germany, they fought against Russia for a few years according to contract and then went home. When Russia tried to invade Finland again at the end of the war, they were once again severely spanked for it, and Finland remained independent, for a nation of only about 5 million people, very impressive to stand against the entire USSR the way they did.

Edit, It could be considered a part of WWII given the time when it happened, I suppose that is subject to interpretation, very different dynamic though in my opinion.

that depends on when you consider WWII to have started, some say when Britain and france declared war on Germany, some say when the USA entered the war.

Do you girls like to torture insects and stuff?

It is not very common for girls to like/enjoy torturing insects...but obviously it is possible. Receiving enjoyment through torturing animals is used as an indicator to predict a person's potential in being a serial killer later in life. The majority of serial killers are men (mostly Caucasian), so maybe that is why you don't find many girls who enjoy torturing animals.

It might be good if you keep your interest on the DL, and let very few ppl know who you are so that if that time comes and people show up dead, you won't come to people's minds as a suspect.

Do ladybugs bite or sting?

Lady bugs (Coccinella magnifica, click here to learn all about them) are known to be very gentle insects when you look at them, and they even tend to crawl on our skin especially when we are on a field, laying down with these critters as they crawl on the flowers upon first sight. However, since we are not that familiar with insects, we tend to wonder whether these cute insects bite or sting people.Lady bugs don’t actually attack with stingers because in the first place, they have any of that. This is further evidenced in an obvious way because they only have their main shell where they keep their wings, and they have a circular figure – unlike bees and wasps that have a sharp and point end. However, these lady bugs have their mouth that’s often used for biting their food, and as a self-defense on their end when needed be. They tend to use their mouths as a defensive type of mechanism whenever someone tries to corner them or torture them. For sure you won’t do that to a little insect that’s doing noting – taking note that this is a harmless type of insect that just wonders around the fields and gardens of various residents.Take note that these have a known defensive mechanism where they tend to bleed on you so that they can do it an escape tactic when needed be. Their blood looks yellowish due to their natural hemolymph. So if you encounter a lady bug, don’t worry because they will never bite anyone even if they crawl around your skin – just be gentle to them if you don’t want to get bitten!

Is torturing bugs as a child psychopathic?

No. Torturing bugs is not indicative of psychopathy being present. I have seen many children engage in similar behaviors that simply serve the purpose of satisfying their curiosity. I have seen many little boys capture bugs and pick their wings off. Many little girls cutting and slicing their Barbie dolls. It's interesting that you mention ants. When I was 10 I clearly remember gathering ants as part of a pseudo "concentration camp experiment" if you will. I gathered as any ants as possible and took them to a bathroom sink I had already filled to the brim with water. I dumped them all in, produced a fat sharp nail, and started stabbing their fat black butts and watching this disgusting white liquid come out. What was the purpose of this exactly? Who the hell knows. I do know that I am not a psychopath and I live a somewhat well adjusted life.....I'm possibly just the biggest serial ant murderer, second to you.

Were the Flintstones based on true events?

My buddy and I were coming home from church on Sunday. Someone mentioned that dinosaurs are mentioned in the bible and They lived with people about a 1000 years ago.
I replied to him, no way. I looked in the good book and it does mention things like the Giant dragon. But they could be about gators or lizards. My friend said no, those are dinosaurs. I asked him...if this is like this Flintstones? Were the Flintstones based on true events? Dino's in the house. He said something like that and we were the reason for there extinction.

What do you think?

My husband confessed he hates my perfume. And I really like it. What to do?

I switched recently to one of my heavier perfumes since it is winter .When it is cold, spring/summer scents just don't seem appropriate. My husband confessed that he dislikes my scent and cutting off cuddles if I wear this perfume. Sadly I really like it. It is YSL Nu described as bergamot, white orchid, and incense absolute. I typically like woody, moss scents, perhaps slightly unisex or masculine. He also admitted it smelled too masculine. Ugh! So what to do? Should I take him shopping and let him pick his favorites, and then I can decide? Also... he smokes and it smells bad to me. Maybe I should complain about his Marlboro smell. Or maybe I should find a scent that has tobacco in it. Ugh!

-Totally frustrated.

Why do people hate cold weather?

I distrust people who say they like cold weather. Humans are not at all designed to enjoy cold weather. People who “prefer” cold weather usually discount the fact that we need to “consume more” to thrive in cold climate. We need more clothes, more energy/power, more heat, more light, more fire wood, more calories, more machine maintenance, more food imports, more exercise. In short, one needs to live in a wealthy society, with an adequate access to rare materials, food, energy and with a solid consumerist attitude to actually enjoy winter. After all, no winter lover could bathe without a running hot water. In today’s capitalist world, we import food from “warm countries” and do not care a jot that we can’t produce enough fresh food for our own consumption during the cold months. It’s always someone else’s resources and labor somewhere else. We just consume.Back in the 17th and 18th century, when Europe was still poor. An unusually long winter season meant revolutions, social upheavals, and deathly famines. European populations dropped sharply in those gruesome periods. A poor third world economy could not and still cannot “enjoy” a cold-weather life style. Today, top energy consuming countries are all big economies in cold climate. The world grows warmer and warmer and the sea level rises higher and higher as their love of winter continues. Would it surprise you if I point to a simple statistics that the Europe Union (cold territory) consumes twice the amount of electricity compared to India (which has twice the population of Europe), and that electricity consumption in Germany alone is one-third of that of India?

Does anyone else hate summer?

I'm just the opposite. I love the heat. I love tanning and the sun and everything.

Which is funny because winter is my favorite season.

I think you shouldn't be ashamed of your body.. literally a few minutes ago i saw a youtube video about this guy who talked about being fat and bullied.. hold on..

http://youtu.be/54uSD67M-Zo

you should watch it. It was really touching. I think that you shouldn't subject yourself into wearing too much clothing just because of what you think others would think.

When you walk by and see someone on the larger side wearing shorts or a tank top... do you really think much about them? Because I don't. I barely even notice them. That's the mindset I keep up when I wanna wear shorts or a dress or a tank top... really nobody cares. It's only your own self-conscious thinking people will notice you when I'm sure they've seen bodies even larger than yours and didn't think much of it. Own up your body because it belongs to you and you should love what you have.

It's not easy to stop being self conscious. I would be a hypocrite if I said I wasn't a lot of the times. But when you think about it.. nobody even cares. And i'm sure they're all self-conscious about themselves that they don't even pay attention to you. Who knows how many of the "perfect bodied women" you see are only that way because they are worried what others would think if they didn't exercise/diet as much as they do.

You can always start counting your calories and working out more to lose the weight if that will help you feel better about yourself... but do not beat yourself up for it because it takes courage to be fully comfortable with who you are and that's more beautiful than a girl dieting and exercising because she's afraid of what society would think of her if she didn't do what they said.
