Burning An Iso Image To Dvd. Can You Downlaod Windows 7 Iso While Running Linux .

Installing windows 7 FROM Linux?

SO i finally found the right iso. (I'm not paying $100 + for an OS) I extracted it, changed it to an executable file, then ran the setup.exe through wine. The problem is, when i click the big install windows button, I get an error message:
"Windows setup cannot find a location to store temporary installation files. To install windows, make sure a partition on your boot disk has at least 727 megabytes of space. Error code 0x80070490."

This is weird because I at least have 200 gigs of storage left on my hard drive. What do I need to do to replace Ubuntu with Windows 7? Do I need to make a separate partition? If so, please tell me how. Thanks guys!

I downloaded the Linux Ubuntu ISO on my computer, and now I want to dual boot it with my Windows 7. How do I do that?

Easy. First shrink the c: drive hears a link to do that How to Partition A Hard Drive second get a blank DVD third get a ISO burning toolBurn the ISO to the DVD then this is where it gets a little confusing look up the key to boot into the BIOS based on your computer make and version turn off the computer boot into BIOS change the boot priority from the hard drive to your DVD save your changes and restart its all self explained hear and Ubuntu has a nice GUI install have fun!

While burning iso image, burning process stops, but says 100% completed?

First, I would need to know what software you are using to burn the iso image. It's hard to answer a question about a piece of software when you don't know what the software is....lol.

Edit: That's the problem. ISO images must be burned using an iso burning software. This is true for any iso image especially bootable images. Try CDBurnerXp or ImageBurn. Both are free and burn bootable iso images. Dragging and dropping will never work for iso images. If you need further assistance you can email me via my profile and I will tell you where to post so that I can give you step by step instructions. This is not the proper forum for the type of communication that is required to give step-by-step instructions.

Could I install Linux and Windows on the same computer?

Yes this is known as Dual booting. Most popular Linux distributions like Ubuntu will automate the process and do it for you. Back up your data before you mess with the partition. So basically if Windows is already installed on the machine then just boot to your Linux media and select install. Again this will be different depending on your choice of Linux but the process is basically the same. After you select Install another option should come up asking if you want to set up a Dual Boot configuration. Select yes to this option. Keep in mind that the Windows Boot Loader will now be overwritten by the Linux one. If you uninstall Linux later your Windows partition wont be able to boot and you will need to perform a partition repair to recover the boot loader.

How long does it take to install Windows 10?

I am tired of people especially programmers and IT companies assuming we all have superfast internet, herein rural france we only get 1.2mbps not 50mbps so to download 4gb will take 12 - 18 hours, it will usually fail so I use a torrent stream but this has to be provided by a trusted third party developer, why dont you people that have influence over tech companies encourage them to use the torrent method of distribution that can trickle down from multiple source and pause, stop and resume with no problems ......!

How to reinstall windows 7 without teh disk (windows 7 is built in). it asks me for a disk though and product key is to long.?

my mum installed windows 10 and a week later got a blue screen with error message on it 0xc0000034. google searched for this did not help, i have the EXACT same computer as my mum (i did not install windows 10), i used a USB to back up my comp on to her, but i have about 800gb memory used on mine and teh usb is only 29gb, anyway i did the back on it, put it on her computer (pressed F12 to open boot options on start up) and selected teh USB, then i manage to get it to reinstall windows 7, it then asked for the product key, this is on teh side of the PC, but it wont let me type the full product key (to long, by about 7 letters/numbers), i clicked SKIP, and it loaded up windows 7, but says no internet connection (it is a wired connection) and the desktop looked like windows 98/XP version.

i tried to do a factory reset, but it says it will prompt me for a disk, i did a factory reset on mine a while back and teh tab where factory reset was on mine is not there on hers, it says reinstall windows instead.

no idea what i did to mess this up lol. any help would be much appreciated (her pc is in my house so can do any advice right away)

How do I make Linux my main operating system?

Right now I have Windows 7, but I want to switch over to SUSE Linux. I have read that if you have Windows you can run Linux as a program, but I want it as my main operating system. How do I do this?

Also is it possible to make it where my main operating system is Linux when I turn on my computer, but still have Windows 7 installed?

I searched but didn't see anything on the internet so if anyone knows of a guide and will post it, I would be very appreciative
