Help with my Teen hangout business..any suggestions??
Teen hangout can be a very popular idea, but one thing you have to be careful of is trying to hard. I am a teen, and it's pretty easy to spot something hokey. My advice is to not go mainstream, and be VERY ORIGINAL! Choose things that are classy, deep rich earthy tones, maybe with slight accent of bright colors. Steer away from stuff like band names, brand names, etc, and put unique stuff on the walls. old school movie posters, modern artsy stuff, things like that. The key is to aim for something that will be discovered as a really inviting atmosphere "i know this kickin' place", rather than the designated teen spot. Have amps and speakers so that kids can hook up guitars and ipods and stuff, rather than playing popular radio or something. Trust me, it is WAY cooler to make and listen to your own music. BUT!, my opinion may only echo half of the average teen populace on the music issue. i know people that love to rock out to the top 40, so i would go with a healthy balance of both. Indie bands are sweet, but mix it up with some Shania Twain every once in a while. Teens like quirky, original taste. Food is very popular, believe me, i'm the biggest fan. have a drink fridge or juice bar for a cheap price, and it will be succesfully used. you also need big couches, for the conversation, but not secluded, so that you have to decide where you want to go. It should all blend. Definitely include something for the jocks, probably a basketball hoop out back or something. a collection of frisbees and soccer balls can go a long way with a group, encouraging active peer interaction. having a ps3 or something im not sure about. What you really need is some old school arcade games, or coin operated skill games like boxing are Really sweet. Also, try to do events that are not overused either. Do some crazy cool stuff like black and white horror movie night, that kind of stuff. so ya, there it is, straight from the horses mouth, so to speak! good luck on your adventure!

Hours of operation will be from 8 AM to 2 AM Monday through Saturday. On Sunday, the Coffee Shop will be open from 10 AM to 12 AM. The basic purpose of Late Night Latte is to attract people who are between the ages of 17 to 30 years, mostly students from the University of New Mexico and anyone who is a coffee lover. Also the café will give individuals the opportunity to hang out and enjoy a diverse selection of delicious lattes. Mission Statement: Our mission is to provide the finest quality coffee at a reasonable price with the commitment of promoting a unique twist of tastiness in every sip. Company Goals and Objectives Distribute quality products that appeal to people who are between the ages of 17 to 30 years of age who attend the University of New Mexico and to others who work in the area. Also provide a fun and welcoming environment for employees and customers, as well as a place for people to hang out, socialize, and study. Furthermore, we want to offer superb customer service and knowledge of our products. In addition, we want to encourage our employees to be professional and positive while doing business with our clientele. Within a year of being opened our objectives for Late Night Latte are to acquire a fair amount of repeat customers from the University of New Mexico and surrounding businesses in the area.
