Buy What Dslr Shoulder Rig

DIY DSLR Shoulder Rig?

Unlike the jerk who decided to over analyze, and criticize terminology, ill actually try to help you. A friend of mine purchased this shoulder rig: "http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/cr/B0036NMQ... for about $25. There is also a guy who comments using it with dslr's in the reviews. And there are a lot of technically incorrect terms that we still use. Nonetheless, it can still be used legitimately. And by the way Jim, the factory does not make it's camera as you quoted "top of the line". They limit certain software features to maintain the prices of other cameras. So if you're going to say something, please make sure its correct, and stop giving off incorrect information.

Where should I start when buying a DSLR film rig?

You will need:A DSLR cameraLensesND filtersA tripod with a video headMedia that can record movies (technically DIT's problem, but you are generally expected to have some media in your camera nonetheless).From there the accessories are numerous.Shoulder mountMonitorsFollow FocusJigs and dollysetc, etc.Your question is really vague. Do you want brands and specific item recommendations?And presumably you are just the camera operator. With others handling sound recording, lights/gaffing, DIT and so on. So I won't list their needed gear.

Which is better for a DSLR video shoot, a monopod or a tripod?

What is the best dslr rig for video shooting sports? Such as football,track, soccer, volleyball.?

For video? The dSLR designed to capture video - not one designed to capture still images that happens to capture video as a convenience feature.

First, lets define dSLR. My definition:
1) Has an interchangeable lens system;
2) Has an APS-C or larger imaging chip;
3) Has a hot-shoe for mounting a compatible external flash.

The lease expensive dSLR designed for video capture that I know of that meets these three criteria is the Sony NEX-EA50M. Next up is the Black Magic Design pocket cinema cam... then the Canon EOS C100/C300/C500 series.

If your definition of dSLR is different please let us know.

You will get the "best" shots using a mix of the mounting/steadying devices mentioned. I use a Steadycam Merlin with the vest/articulating/counterbalanced arm, tripod or Kessler KC8 camera crane. Not a monopod (much more useful for still image capture - not video).

Lens selection depends where you are in relation to the field, the kind of video framing you want and lighting. There is no single best lens.

What about audio?

What is the best DSLR camera for shooting music videos... Price up to 800?

None.

They're all the same. First, the dSLR was never meant to do video. Second, the dSLR is an image capturing device, not good for audio, even if it has a mic input port.

The best camera for shooting music videos is a digital camcorder preferably one with mic input. At the cheapest, try this.

I want to buy a DSLR camera with a good lens under $800 (Rs.50k). Which is the best camera that falls in this price range?

Before you buy a DSLR, You should have these things in mind. What will I be mainly shooting with my camera?what type of lenses do I need. Wide angle or macro or telephoto?Do I have enough budget to buy all the necessary items for the camera?According to this, I'd recommend you to get a camera worth 30k - 35kTripod(must) 3kIf it's just for photos and very less videos then you needn't buy a Steadicam or a microphone but if you're into videography then - A shot gun mic like the rode for 6k,   a camera rig with to accommodate external flash 2k. (Led ones are bright enough) rig can start anywhere from 2.5k (Shoulder mount of flyfilms from Amazon.in which costs 3k. Portable and does a good job in stabilizing the shots) if you want then a Guerilla pod which costs you 2k( maily because it saves you from carry the tripod and can be placed anywhere, the legs are flexible)Batteries,cases,SD cards, etc.Extra lenses according to your requirement, can consume 10k easily. But get a 50mm prime lens. 6k for Nikon and 7.5k for canon. It gives a huge depth of field. These are the necessary items you need to get for a decent ouput if you're going to use your DSLR for a longer period of time.Hope it helps.

What is the best budget DSLR stabilizer I can buy in India for my Nikon D7200 with my 18-140mm kit lens?
