Should a 12 year old wear a thong?
Absolutely!!! In fact, I have been wearing thongs daily since I was 12!!! I tried out briefs and boxer briefs but they tend to bunch up and irritate my crotch. Soon I discovered thongs for men and I ordered a pack right away! Even I prefer thong swimwear when I hang around the pool or by the beach and most people in my school or gym locker rooms comment that I look hot. By the way I never got bullied because I am pretty good at fending them off, and also wearing thongs don't make you GAY. I'm straight and my wife loves seeing me in them. She also ditched her panties and now wears thongs too. Maybe my children too will, when they become grow up and perhaps love them as much as I did !

When I was twelve I was obsessed with Brandy Melville, which is a clothing brand that specializes in semi-revealing, trendy outfits that are only one size. I’m now 15 and still wear some Brandy, but my 12 year old cousin and her best friend seem to wear a lot of it. No, they shouldn't.Unfortunately greedy corporations want to hyper sexualize society and have young girls dressing like their celebrity idols as a marketing ploy.They are sold the image of looking sexy and wearing makeup year after year until it becomes popular.When I was a kid girls started wearing short shorts and SOME makeup at around 13 and 14.Even then responsible parents were kind of iffy as to whether or not that was a good idea (especially fathers) and usually limited makeup usage to some lipstick, eye liner, blush and some mascara.Post-modern society has completely fallen for the exploitation of girls as young as 3 and 4 years old! Dressing them up like burlesque performers and run way models.It's nauseating.I was in a movie theater quite a few years ago and saw a movie trailer for a Jackass movie. I think it was Bad Grandpa.In the trailer there's a scene where a young girl is on a stage dressed up like a stripper and rips off part of her scantily clad red lingerie outfit.I sat there in disbelief..Then my eyes darted around the theater like:“Are you people seeing this?”And what was even more shocking and to further my state of disbelief, I noticed most of the people in the theater were actually laughing at this part of the movie trailer!Then..My eyes fixed on this older guy probably well into his 60's, a row in front of me having a knee slapper moment, rocking back and forth like you see people doing in the audience during a Kevin Hart stand-up comedy special on Netflix!!(Gasps for air)I couldn't help but feel like, in that moment, that society had just taken a dump.On itself.

12 year olds should wear clothes that expresses their personality while still looking age-appropriate. Though they are on the cusp of being a teenager, they are still in elementary school (6th grade, or early into 7th grade middle school) and shouldn’t be wearing anything low-cut or shorts and skirts that are too revealing. Stick with classics that have a trendy flair, and they’ll never have to look back at their photos and laugh about how ridiculous they were dressed.
Why are parents allowing 12 year old girls to wear crop tops?
When I see a girl in a crop top and jeans or shorts or a skirt, I don’t give it a second thought. They are BACK in style - yes, we wore them in the 80’s and 90’s. When I see a girl in a turtleneck sweater and long jeans I don’t give it a second thought. However, when I see a little girl dancing and posing as if she’s in Snoop Dog’s latest video, regardless of what she is wearing, I think “where are her parents? What are they allowing her to watch!? Are they encouraging this?” Parents post this crap on their social media and think it’s cute. My biggest pet peeve when it comes to parenting is - LACK OF PARENTING! Children wear children’s clothing and I’ve never thought any of it to be ‘sexy’. I have yet to see any of the cute little cropped tops or shorts or short skirts - or even bathing suits - that are sold for children look like they are sexy. But the sexual dancing and posing I see all the time and parents seem to think it’s cute. That’s where I would draw the line as a parent. Now once these girls get into high school, where all their clothing and makeup is marketed using sex, now that is an uphill battle for a parent. You have all my sympathy. I didn’t have children. It was more work and commitment than I could …commit to! And I don’t have to worry about my American Bulldog/pitty mix dressing like a tramp. ;)

if you are over the age of 15 then you will realise that girls (especially) dress in a different way and think differently than what you yourself used to dress like. at the age of 12 i would wear anything, literally, unless it was boys clothes and my appearance didnt bother me much at all. girls today aged 12 are way more concerned about their looks and fashion, etc than we were, i totally understand what you're thinking. this is actually the result of internet, media and the fact than many kids over the age of 10 now have access to internet and have mobiles, facebook etc.
