Can A 15 Year Old Live With A Family Friend If The Mom Agrees And Has Full Cusody Of Her And The

How do I get full custody of my 3 year old daughter because her mom is on drugs?

Why ask quora about something so serious, seek proper legal advice?Do you have parental responsibility? You will need proof that your child's welfare is in danger. If her mother is truly addicted to drugs to the point that she can't meet her child's needs then you'll need proof of that, then social services would be involved. You would need to seek legal advice straight away.Remember you should be acting in your child's best interests at all times. If you cannot financially support your child or meet their needs yourself (you don't have appropriate housing for instance) you may not automatically have them placed with you.

I'm 16 years old, My mother has custody over me but I want to move in with my Dad because I'm unhappy here, how can I move in with my Dad?

Just go ahead and go over to your. Dad's. Immediately. Your Mom cannot do anything to stop you.*CAUTION.Obviously if your Dad has been rendered unfit for custody, has molested you or has criminal convictions or something of that sort on his record… That's not going to fly!YOU must initiate this. Do NOT just have your Daf NOT take you back to your Mom!!!!Your Dad could lose custody of you completely for violating the court's orders. At sixteen you can also get your OWN attorney appointed for you by the court!!!!My daughter happened to decide for herself to stay with me. She was sixteen at the time. She was staying with me for the summer and asked me if she could just stay with me and not go back to her Mom's?I told her absolutely NOT!BUT I told her. There's nothing preventing YOU from coming BACK over my house for good right after I perform my obligation by taking you back, on time!, To your mother. And that's what we did. I dropped her off at her Mom's. Went back home. An hour later she texted me and asked me to come back over to pick her up.Her Mom protested at first, but must have contacted her attorney or someone who told her that there really isn't anything from preventing a minor that's 15/16 years old from making her OWN decision about which parent she prefers to stay with.Best wishes!

If parents throw a 14 year old out, is it legal for them to live at a friend's house forever?

No.Parents cannot throw a 14 year old out. If your parents are trying to do this, fear not, law is on your side. You must be 18 or emancipated here in Colorado where I live, although the laws may be different in different places. As for living at the freinds house, the answer is no. As fun as it sounds, they do not have your certificate and can't ever prove that you are their child. This means they can't sign off for you on virtually everything, so no, they cannot keep you.Involve the authorities if there is that type of stuff going on in your household. If this is a “just for fun” question, then hope the answer is satisfactory
