Can A 3monthold Baby Used Pediatric Electrolyte Drink

How much pedialyte to give an almost 3 month old child??

you give as much as you would of the normal feeding so if she can handle 1-2 oz every 4 hrs of liquids then give her that. My boys would take 2 oz every 3 hrs for 7 days sometimes when they got really sick and that was around 4-6 months. The pharmacy may be able to help you as well with the information. Or you can try calling the Dr's office, they are suppose to have a nursline in case you need to get a hold of your Dr. I have called the Dr for my boys at 2 am before.

Can i give my 3 month baby flavored pedialyte?

Any questions regarding a 3 month old infant should go to YOUR pediatrician who knows all about YOUR baby's specific health, but I would keep him/her on the clear, flavorless Pedialyte. That way he/she isn't developing a taste for the sweeter things any earlier than necessary. Good Luck with your little angel!!

Do you warm pedialyte for a 3 month old?

my baby girl is 3 months old. Her Dr. told me to give her pedialyte because she vomited twice this afternoon but I dont know if I should warm it? I just dont think it would be good to give something cold hit her stomach. Please let me know.

Why can't 1-6 month old babies be given drinking water, while breastmilk actually contains water (H2O)?

A 4 month old baby’s kidneys cannot balance water and salt effectively. This means that too much plain water can affect baby’s health as it can dilute his/her blood and thus lead to hyponatremia. It is recommended to start introducing water  at around 4-6 months of age. A baby fed adequate amounts of breast milk or infant formula in the first 6 months, doesn’t require additional plain water added to their diet. Still, baby’s doctor may recommend feeding a small amount of sterile water in a cup when complementary foods are introduced.  The water volume a day is somewhere between 4 and 8 ounces.

I am breastfeeding my 3 month old baby, I am taking a GNC Lean shake?

Unfortunately, no. If safe, effective weight loss was as simple as swallowing a "magic pill," or drinking a shake there would be no fat people walking around. As a mother myself, I understand that weight put on during pregnancy can be very bothersome during the postpartum period. Your body has been through so many changes that now you just want to get back into shape — and fast! A diet shake seems like the answer but in reality, these drugs can be very dangerous to you and possibly to your baby as well, if you're breastfeeding.

For example, a commonly used appetite suppressant, phenylpropanolamine (an ingredient in Dexatrim and Acutrim), was recently taken off the market when studies showed that it is associated with an increased incidence of stroke. If you have any of these products at home, you should throw them away immediately.

Many other over-the-counter weight loss products contain ephedrine. Herbal supplements may list this ingredient as ma huang or ephedra. Claims have been made that this substance increases metabolism thereby causing weight loss. But medical reports have linked ephedrine with dangerous increases in blood pressure, palpitations, heart arrhythmias, and seizures. Many products containing ephedrine are sold as "food supplements" and not as medicines, which are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. This means that the manufacturers of food supplements are not held to the same safety standards as those that produce pharmaceuticals.

Diet supplements may pose an added risk if you're breastfeeding. The ingredients in these products may pass into your breast milk, and we don't know whether they're safe for babies to consume.

To get back in shape after your baby is born, there's just no substitute for sensible eating and regular exercise.

Can I use cocoa butter on my babies skin and take 3 month old to beach?

I actually just asked my SIL (who's a ped.) yesterday about sunscreen and babies under 6 months. The sunscreen I have (water babies) says to ask a dr for use under 6 months. She told me that the reason is that they absorb the stuff in the sunscreen, and it's too much for them when they're that small (or something along those lines, I may not have it exactly right, I'm a sleep deprived mom) ;) She also told me that she recommends to her patients that they not use sunscreen until 1 year old.

So if it were me and my little guy, I'd dress him in lightweight clothes and keep him in the shade.

What home remedies can I give my 15-month-old baby who is suffering from diarrhea?

Greetings,Please be aware that most infant “formulas,” are complete junk, they should not be used which one would know by a quick even cursory review of the ingredients listed on the container.Cow udder mucous, “Dairy” should never be given to a human 15 month old toddler, not the way it is prepared today in factory farms.Prepare a hemp seed milk smoothie with organic banana and remember the BRAT Diet, Bananas, rice and applesauce, just omit the rice unless using wild rice. The products sold for diarrhea are complete junk unless you go to your natural foods stores, the most common stuff sold for our babies, toddlers is an offense, laden with corn syrup, starch, colorants, flavorings, is NOT nutrition. Most electrolyte and ensure, and all of those are junk too!You could also mash up some bananas, but consider if you formerly were feeding any of the above that this could be a detoxification that your young one is discharging from their system.Prepare yourself to learn a new way with your Toddler and feed a holistic whole foods diet, that you mash, puree, smoothie/blend and power them, and you, up!In love, and kindness~

Should I insist feeding my 7m old baby with warm water?

I am confused that you don’t know that infants should be on breastmilk (or formula), and the fluid they need is already in there. Also, do you have a pediatrician? That is your most reliable, non-judgmental source for any questions about raising your baby. That said, you can usually give your baby some water after 6 months (by most accounts), but only your pediatrician can help you determine if that is necessary and how much you can give your baby.I urge you to never ask a world wide web of strangers with all different opinions about how to raise babies. It will make you crazy. Next thing they will tell you is that you must co-sleep and take your baby in a papoose eveywhere you go.Stick with valid, reliable resources. Not one of us here knows anything about your baby and his needs. Your pediatrician however will have examined and regularly checked up on your baby’s progress.

A 4 month old baby boy puts pressure while passing urine. What's the problem and treatment?

Definitely seeing a doctor is the first and best option. Actually babies lose lot of water(dehydration) and electrolytes during diarrhea. So the loss must be replenished. And during diarrhea babies develop rash on the bumps. Whenever they pass urine it touches that area and it is quite painful to them. Sepsis and congenital defects must be ruled out.
