Can A Dodge Neon Sxt Be Converted Into A Srt4

Is there a dodge neon srt 4 automatic?

Negative, and why would you want an automatic anyway. Shifting gears yourself is the only way to go.

03 Neon SXT to SRT-4 Conversion?

This question comes up often. It certainly is possible, but not easy. The engine and transmission (all SRT-4s and R/Ts have manual transmissions) will fit assuming that you use the special SRT-4 hood. You will also need to take everything in the engine compartment, especially the intercooler, wiring harness and the PCM. Although I have not actually looked, one could assume that you also need to take the steering and rest of the drive train. Note that the front struts, wheels and brakes are distinctive the SRT-4.

I know you are not in favor of this idea but, I would keep your current '03 and get a SRT-4. Based on the number of SRT-4s out there for sale, you will have an ample selection.

Are dodge neon srt-4 bad cars?

Well they don't make the Srt 4 anymore because Dodge does not make the neon platform anymore. Dodge has replaced it with the Caliber, which will also be coming out with a SRT 4 version. Don't listen to people who claim Hondas are better because they are not, those are just un-educated people.

By the way, no defects on those cars either, they were made to be a limited production run, but actually sold better than Dodge thought. 2003 through 2005 is the model years.

What is the difference between a 2003 dodge neon se, srt, and sxt???

basically the 3 are the different trim levels available in the neon.

SE- base- alot of options available but standard features dont include anything but maybe air

SXT- Standard Air, cd, auto, nicer wheels

SRT- Turbocharged version- standard manual, bodykit, 17" wheels on bf goodrich tires, disc brakes, nice but $$$

Is a Dodge Neon a good car?

I have a friend that commuted in a Dodge Neon and put over 300K miles on it. It finally got junked when the timing belt broke and trashed the motor. He knew the timing belt was overdue, but it wasn't worth the expense of changing the timing belt, compared to the value of the car and the potential for other problems. So, he drove it while the timing belt lasted, and scrapped the car when it failed. This story demonstrates two important points:The car could make 200K, 300K, or even more miles, if well maintained. The value of the car is low enough that it is hard to justify the costs of all that maintenance. So, if you could find a low mileage car with good maintenance records, it could be a great value. However, I would be very wary of deferred maintenance and expensive problems.

My 2005 dodge neon srt 4 odometer blinks fuse, what can cause this to happen?

Well yes the BCM could cause a no start issue especially if the BCM isn't getting one of it's 12 volt feeds. The BCM basically is the comp that runs basically all the dash and many other devices work via the BCM.Normally the BCM will have at least 2 to 3 positive 12 volt feeds but none of the fuses are usually more then 5-20 amp fuses.Check the fuse chart for anything mentioning dash/BCM/display/etc.You may have a BCM problem but it would be flashing or giving a BCM error code but it's only mentioning a fuse so again check the fuses before every investing into needless or costly repairs. The BCM on that car maybe hiding in the passengers side lower dash area where the passengers right foot is closes to.

If I were you I'd get a meter or 12 volt test probe, ground the negative lead clamped wire to a solid metal/ground surface and then put the key in the run position, this is the last key position before the start position. The basic plastic fuses have metal at each end that you use the probe tip to touch to find out if the fuse is not only getting power but if the fuse is allowing power to go through it.

Most of the fuses should be lighting up the test probe at both ends if the key is in the run position but sometimes if you find a fuse isn't lighting up the test probe at either end that could mean for example that the headlight switch isn't turned on therefore no power is going to the fuse, but it all depends on the design of the circuit.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way more then likely if the dash is displaying the word fuse that is bec the systems are designed to let you know if a simple problem exists such as a blown fuse.Note make sure that any fuse that has power at one end and not at the other end is replaced with a fuse the same type and same amperage.Plus note that not only can a switch not being turned on cause a fuse to be dead at each end but a fuse might be feeding that fuse and it that's why you have to check all the fuses carefully.

regarding why a fuse might of blown that could be bec the circuit got a sudden surge or due to moister and the key here is what does the blown fuse look inside for example is it burnt black bec that could mean the dead short exists some place but try another fuse just in case.

Can I put a turbocharger into my 2005 Dodge neon SXT?

Yes, can easily turbocharge your Neon. With a good setup and tune, 200whp at 8lbs of boost is safe on your SOHC.

How you turbocharge your neon is up to you. You have hahn racecraft that sells a complete turbo kit.

The other option is a bit tougher because one part isn't made anymore. But there are alot of SOHC neons running srt4 turbofolds. The part not being made anymore is an adapter plate to mate the turbofold to your head. Beside that, you need some sort of engine management setup, intercooler and a bunch of other parts.

You should check out www.neons.org for more info.

Can you fit a v12 engine in a dodge neon?

I dont think so, but good luck trying

Is it possible to put a supercharger or turbo on my 2003 dodge neon sxt?

its way easier on that one to change it to a 2,4 ,then you can use the turbo from a pt cruiser or the turbo neon ,the 2.0 you have wont take much on the lower end ,the engine just wasn't designed to take much, the 2.4 was though and anyone from a pt cruiser or the neon srt-4 will work on it,you can turbo charge it real easy this way, there's a few normal looking neon's running around where i live at that are turbo charged and they run really good, good luck.
