Can a convicted felon go deer hunting in Texas?

From Texas Parks & Wildlife:

"Muzzleloader: Any firearm that is loaded only through the muzzle. Note: A cap and ball firearm in which the powder and ball are loaded into a cylinder is not a muzzleloader. Muzzleloader deer seasons are restricted to muzzleloading firearms only."

"Possession of firearms by felons: A convicted felon, regardless of where the conviction occurred, may not possess or use a firearm (as defined by Penal Code, §46.01) to hunt in this state. Can you become a CNA with a felony in texas?

Call the state licensing board and ask. You will be asked on your application to apply for license whether or not you have ever been charged with a crime. You are obligated to reply "yes". They will want details. Each incident is reviewed on a case by case basis. No one here can possibly tell you what their decision will be. Generally, any felony or "crime of moral turpitude" (which fraud would be considered) would preclude you unless you can convince the board otherwise. Also, even if you can obtain your license, having a felony on your criminal record is going to make it tough to find a job.

Can a felon get a fishing licence in Texas?

Can a felon get a fishing license in Texas? Are you asking one on parole, one who has finished completely, one still in custody? Yes, Yes, and No.The one in custody is an obvious No.Anyone who pays the licensing fees at any authorized licensing agent can get a fishing license. Walmart is one such agent, Tractor Supply, Ace Hardware, you name it. You want freshwater, saltwater, day fishing, annual license. One item I wonder, if a parolee, gets his saltwater fishing tags, takes a fishing boat out, can he be charged or is it a parole violation if they enter International waters? HmmmNote: the Ex-con and the parolee can ALSO get their hunting licenses also.

What exactly do police officers see on their computer screens when they pull someone over? What comes up when they run the license plate and check the driver’s license? Is it any different for an out-of-state driver?

A standard license check by an officer on a stop is just your drivers license info- physical description, address, etc, your driving record, your criminal history, and whether there are any wants or warrants. Nowadays they also can tell if you have a current insurance policy, usually. A license plate check tells them the year make and model of your car, who it is registered to, and whether the registration is current, as well as the address of whoever it is registered to.They can look deeper if they choose to or feel there is cause, but I have never seen anything that tells me whether a person takes meds, unless it is a side note on their history if they have been dealt with before for behavior problems due to a specific medication.

What happens if you're caught driving with the wrong license plates?

Where I worked, this was called “fictitious plates or registration.” It was regarded as considerably more serious than driving without registration. If an officer found a car bearing plates registered to another car, his first suspicion would be that the car is stolen, because that is frequently the case. A smart car thief will steal a set of cold plates from a car of the same make and model, but most car thieves aren’t that smart. If you run the plates on a Ford and they come back to a Volkswagen, you start thinking, “stolen car.”If the officer thinks he is dealing with an occupied stolen car, he may conduct a high-risk stop, which is where everyone inside the car is brought out one at a time and proned on the pavement, at gunpoint. It will be an event you will not quickly forget.Less commonly, I would stop someone with fictitious plates, and they would tell me, “My plates expired, so I put these on it so I could drive it.” Having the wrong plates on the car might make it less noticeable to the cops, but the consequences of getting caught were considerably more grave. If you were driving a car with no plates or expired plates, we would write you a ticket for “registration required.” That was a $15 fine, and the court would almost always dismiss it if you got the car registered by the time you went to court. If you were driving a car with fictitious plates,The car would be impounded. The plates would be seized. You would get a ticket (or possibly be arrested) for driving with fictitious plates ($375 fine), and probably also for driving without insurance, because unregistered cars are seldom insured. The DMV would suspend the car’s registration, meaning there would be more hoops to jump through to get it registered. You might be on the receiving end of a high-risk car stop.Just get the car registered. It’s cheaper for everyone.

People who know only please: Can you laminate your nursing license?
