Can a Hp pavilion a6120n be used as a gaming pc?

It will need a new graphics card, it only has integrated graphics which can't play modern games very well. You may need to add another 2GB of ram if it still at the default 2GB.

Is it possible to turn an HP pavilion s5503w desktop into a gaming PC buy upgrading and building it?

I assume that this is what you have:HP Pavilion Slimline s5503w Desktop PC Product SpecificationsThe answer depends on your definition of what a “gaming PC” is.If you just want to be able to play some games on it which you can’t currently. Then you could upgrade the RAM and CPU and get an after market graphics card (aka GPU). A CPU upgrade, an extra GB of RAM and an aftermarket GPU should probably allow you to play plenty of games (although you may still need to adjust settings). Whether that’s going to give you good value for money though, I strongly doubt. The limit you will hit will be RAM. As it only supports 4GB RAM max that will be your ultimate hardware bottleneck. So after you buy CPU, RAM and GPU you will have a machine that will be able to play many games, although it still wouldn’t be considered a “strong gaming rig” by any stretch of the imagination. Also worthy of consideration is that I doubt anything beyond a fairly basic aftermarket graphic card would fit in the current case. Also keep in mind that many/most aftermarket GPUs will also require a stronger PSU (power supply). So even if you went crazy and bought a new case (to fit GPU), new PSU (to power GPU), new AMD CPU, an aftermarket GPU and maxed out your RAM, you’d still be limited to 4GB RAM. To upgrade your RAM further, you’d need a new motherboard. By then, the only thing remaining of your original HP is the harddrive (and mouse and keyboard etc)!IMO, the only way that upgrading your current hardware would make sense would be if you bought some parts with a long term aim of building a new computer (i.e. get parts that you intend to use in your “gaming PC” that are compatible with your current system).

Can i change video card on HP Pavilion a1330n?

Yes it can, the card you have is onboard, you can add a PCI-express 16X video card. (you system has a slot for it). The main thing to watch out for is the power supply you computer has is too week for most video cards, you may need to change that too.

What game are you trying to run?

What is good replacement motherboard for a HP Pavillion a6110n PC?

It's a Windows Vista.I'm heading to Best Buy (Geek Squad) or Fry's Electronics. Before I go, here was the problem with the desktop.

The problem was that every time I log in, and access start, pictures, internet, etc. the monitor would freeze and become pixelated. I thought it would be the video card or RAM drive that could've been overheated but when I cleaned the desktop from dust and all. It looks like everything was integrated with the motherboard. Is there any other way to fix this besides replacing the motherboard? If not, what would be a good replacement for the mb? As I said above I'm heading to BB or Fry's, do you know which one is great replacement? Much help would be appreciated, thank you.

Possible upgrades -

According to the motherboard specs you can upgrade the processor up to a Core 2 Duo E6700 2.66GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 4MB L2 cache.....a very nice upgrade over your E4400 2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache.
You can get one for $82 on eBay,

If you install a processor yourself and have never done it before, be sure to completely remove the old thermal compound between the processor and heatsink, and then re-apply new compound. . A high purity alcohol of 90% or better and coffee filters work well, both can be found in the grocery store. The old compound cannot be reused. I prefer Arctic Silver 5, here's how to properly apply it.

If you're still using the on-board integrated graphics (GMA 950), you'll want to install a graphics card in order to play Starcraft II. Your system has a PCI Express x16 slot for a graphics card. An inexpensive graphics card such as the Radeon HD 4350, HD 4550, HD 5450, HD 5550 or GeForce G210 will work with your existing 300W power supply.
All of those are low end cards, but your system uses an ATX power supply that is very common and easy to upgrade in order to support a better graphics card.

What upgrades can I make to my HP Pro 3400 MT desktop?

You could upgrade the processor to an i7–2600 and max out the RAM to 8GB. Adding an SSD will dramatically reduce OS/app loading times and a new graphics card such as the GTX 1050Ti will also help if you intend to run some newer games.
