Can A Person Be In The Texas A

A person living in Oklahoma can't be buried in Texas, how come?

Because Oklahoma sucks?

Didn't tease my brain all that much.

If a shot is fired in Texas, and it kills a person in Oklahoma, which state’s laws does the murder fall under?

Both Texas, and Oklahoma, and (in such a case) even the federal government would have legal jurisdiction, and any one of the three could prosecute it.(But the laws on double jeopardy means that only one of the three can prosecute it. Not two of them. Not all three.)Any of these three entities COULD, assuming it was some degree of murder.Only one will. In such cases (and there are many cases where multiple jurisdictions COULD prosecute…) the various jurisdictions will typically discuss, and hash it out — based on all sorts of issues, including sometimes cost of prosecution, sentencing differences in each state, which state it may have impacted more, etc. So, the Texas prosecutor will talk it over with the Oklahoma prosecutor, and try to come to a decision. (The shooter does not get a vote, grin.)This is not that different than the real scenario behind the Unabomber case. He lived in one state. He traveled to another state, to mail bombs (most often California). The people opening the packages were usually then in a third state. And, the feds were very involved, especially since it was a multi-state crime, and also terrorism. In the end, they decided to try the case in the state of California. But, it was the feds who tried the case, and not the state of California.Such cases happen more often than you might think, where multiple jurisdictions have to make a decision on “who will bring charges.”

Can a person drive from dallas texas usa to santiago chile?

Not all the way. You will have to ship your vehicle around an area in southern Panama called the Darien Gap that is road less. You can usually put your car on a freight ship from Panama City to Cartegena. There is no one site map that shows the entire route but take a look at mapstoanywhere.com.

I’m a black British person visiting Texas for two weeks. Will it be safe?

I agree with anonymous, my experience as a “Northerner” or Damned Yankee or Yankee Bitch or Fn Yankee Bitch as some Texans like to call me from time to time, all because I said “Hello” in that all too northern accent. It just makes me a bit nervous of Texas and more importantly Texans. Obviously, I have had bad experiences in Texas and try hard not to go there if I could help it. With that said, I think if you stick to the major metropolitan areas, you should be ok.I'm not saying all Texans are bad, in my last trip to Texas in 2015, I met some wonderful people that I call friends today, but there is still a subset of folks that tote guns, get drunk, are angry and have a need to take it out on someone else to make their miserable existence seem more exciting. Just saying that element still exists in Texas. Unlike that woman that felt “safest” in Texas, I never felt more unsafe, than in Texas. I personally do not like when every other person in the state is toting firearms around. Makes me nervous. It’s not all bad news though, personally I loved San Antonio and South Padre Island. It took me a while to figure out why, I liked those two places so much more than elsewhere in the state. I finally decided it's because there aren't that many Texans there. There are a lot of transplants from elsewhere.I keep hearing how progressive Austin is, but I was treated so badly when I lived there for a year back in the early 80’s that I haven't been able to bring myself to go back there. I think I might have PTSD from it. LOLI have a really hard time believing that all that hatred, bigotry and ultra conservativeness has just disappeared completely over the last 20 - 30 years. I suspect it's still running the show politically and I fear that no amount of young, bohemic, hipsters and musicians are ever going to change that. But I could be wrong. It is a real shame too, because I really want to see the Congress Street Bat Bridge.Ironically, my boyfriend is a Texan and I will have to someday, probably soon, go back there to meet the family at some point. God help me! :)www.lessonsfromtheroadus.com

Have you ever been to Texas de Brazil?

Have you been to the Texas de Brazil Restuarant in Orlando? If so what would be the average cost be for 2 people (just including meal and non-alcoholic beverages, and sharing a desert)? Could one person just buy a meal and share with the other person? Just a question that came to mind, lol.

Can convicted felons win the texas lottery?

An awful high percentage of Texans have been to jail. Indeed the US has the highest incarceration rate of any developed nation in the world and Texas the highest of any state in the US. They wouldn't prevent convicted felons from claiming a prize, first it's not their job to be law enforcement, second there's no laws that prevent a convict from playing the lotto, if they've served their time then there debt to society is paid as much as is practical, and third barring felons from the lottery would cut out 30% of potential sales and that's an awful lot of money.

Most people are fine with felons handing over money.

How many times can a person get legally married in the state of Texas?

As many times as you wish, as long as you either divorce your partner in between, or s/he conveniently dies. You're only allowed one spouse at a time - although there have been some interesting suggestions that freedom of religion is being denied because Islamic men are allowed to take up to four wives at a time, but in Texas, at this moment, that's polygamy and polygamy is illegal.
