Can A Rash Leave A Scar

Will pupps leave a scar?

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and my belly has the pupps rash, it's basically like a donut, since my belly button area isn't affected at all
I try not to scratch, I've slipped maybe 2 times but other than I just let the itching occur :/
But I have caught myself scratching while I sleep!! I've tried everything to help the itching, hydrocortisone, benedryl, aloe, aveeno, and oatmeal baths, now I've decided I'm just going to have to suck it up...

But I want to know if this donut rash on my belly is going to leave a scar, I've looked it up and can't find anything, so anyone who's had pupps, were you left with a scar?
Also I've asked this before, but how many of you were induced for having severe pupps rash...

Can rashes leave scars?

When I was ten years old I had some sort of terrible rash from a virus, and despite having gone away, whenever I am over heated due to exercise, hot showers, or nervousness, the rash comes out and it is identical to the rash I once had when I was ten. It is flat and does not itch, but I was wondering if perhaps the rash from my past has scarred my skin and only appears when there is an increase in my body temperature.

How do you get rid of a scar from a rash?

Add 1 cup of baking soda or epsom salts to your bathwater and soak for 15 to 20 minutes. This home remedy will help ease itching and inflammation, thus reducing rash marks and speeding the healing process. Apply a cool compress to your skin to reduce inflammation and pain. Dampen a cotton cloth or rag with cold water and apply to the skin for up to five minutes. Remove the cloth and allow your skin to air dry.

Does measles leave scars?

Measles can have many permanent effects, including scars. The scars would probably come from a secondary infection which can be caused by scratching. The effect most people associate with measles is the distinctive red rash, which is very uncomfortable and can cause those suffering to scratch their own skin too much. Of course, measles has other possible permanent effects, like blindness, deafness and SSPE. It’s not a pretty disease

The fastest way to get rid of rash scars?

There really isn't a fast way, but there are things you can try. Apply cocoa butter to the scars. Studies have shown that regular application of cocoa butter helps to fade scars more rapidly than some other creams on the market. Also, look for creams that contain naturally healing ingredients, such as shea butter, jojoba oil, castor oil and rose hip oil.

Try an over-the-counter medication such as Mederma, which is specially designed to treat scars. (Any cream that is designed to get rid of scars will work.) Healing time generally takes up to six months before any significant improvement will occur.

Talk to your dermatologist about Retin-A topical creams. These creams have been shown to greatly reduce the appearance of scars. Retinal creams encourages cell turnover. The new cells then take the place of older, scarred cells. Retin-A requires a prescription.

Start dermabrasion treatments. A licensed professional will use a dermabrasion device to treat the scars. Tiny crystals on the end of the device essentially buff away the top layers of your skin. With repeated treatments, you will see a noticeable improvement. Expect your skin to be a bit red and irritated after each treatment.

Have a look here. You will find dozens of recipes for homemade skin care products. You will find several that could help you with this. One thing you could try is a simple dermabrasion. Mix a little sugar with some olive oil and rub it into your skin. It should help.

Does poison ivy leave scars?

I've seen a friend's scar. She had a severe case on her ankle. It is discolored to this day.
What you have sounds normal and should not leave a scar. Keep the area away from direct sunlight, because it may cause scarring. And ask your pharmacist for a cream to help it heal quicker.
I've had the same marks many times. I think it took about a month for the redness to go away.

Will my poison ivy leave scars?

I'm 15 and I have a really bad case of poison ivy (it's everywhere) and I'm on prednezone (idk how it's spelled) and stuff and it's been drying out and leaving little scabby things (gross). The dead skin comes off really easily, but the skin is pink underneath it and I'm afraid it'll stay like that, and scar. My mon said that it's just because I have a tan and it'll look normal when my tan goes away but I don't believe that. Will it ever look normal again? Or will I have obnoxious scars all over me?

When rashes leave behind slight scars, is the scar permanent?

Some scars will fade to where they are not really noticeable after the healing process completes. Skin takes a long time to fully heal.

One thing I've found that seems to help those little scars from scrapes, bug bites, cuts and such is a product called Bio Oil. It takes time but it even helps old acne scars a bit. Cocoa butter is another moisturizer that helps scarring but that's hard to find in a fairly concentrated state without a bunch of other things diluting it way down. Cocoa butter was used for scars for years and you used to be able to buy it in a stick form. Haven't seen that for years!

Just avoid the sun or wear a good high SPF. All that "new" skin will sunburn really easy and make it less likely to blend in.

Help!I burned my lips with nair! Will it leave scars?

Why would you put Nair on your lips? Did you have hairy lips? I assume it says something on the bottle about where to and where not to apply it. Wow.
Okay, well it isn't going to heal overnight. Sorry - it just won't. But, in the meantime, I would put ice on them for a bit or suck on a popsicle to make them feel better and help the redness go away. You could also buy some medicated blistex lip balm (comes in a blue tub, costs about $1.50). It has camphor and menthol in it which will cool the burning sensation and help heal your lips. I don't think it will leave scars, but I don't know because I found an article about a woman who scarred herself using Nair for legs on her lips =\. Other than that, I don't know that there's much else you can do. Feel better xx
