What is the role of teachers in the learning process/?

How can I get Accurate color Grading ?

I use the Dell ultrasharp monitors as well, with a Spyder 3 pro - I don't trust the pre-calibrated mode. Colour perception changes with light levels and is also heavily dictated by the output of your graphics hardware. Using a calibrator is the only way, at this level, to be sure of what you're getting. Every video and photo I've graded over the last three years since I bought my spyder has looked good on any other monitor I've used.

I use AdobeRGB for my photos and video projects (capture and processing) and only switch to sRGB if I'm exporting for the web - different computers and browsers handle colour differently and sRGB is a fairly safe way of keeping what you wanted. AdobeRGB gives you a much larger colour gamut, meaning more control and choice in the grade.

Finally, you didn't mention software. Since you're looking at the BMCC I assume you've been playing with DaVinci Resolve - I love this program (compared to speedgrade or colorista/looks in premiere). it's incredibly powerful and really not too hard to use. Best of all you quickly find yourself doing most of the primary grade using just the scopes without really looking at the video output, then using the video for secondaries and tweaks/looks. This lets you be much more accurate than just eyeballing!

How to calculate student grades and points in microsoft access?

Do you mean for just one subject, but maybe a combination of assessment items? And then add up the grades to determine if A/B/C/D/E by comparing with threshold? If so, create a table with one column for each assessment item and then in a query, calculate the the grade by using a combination of IF functions to determine the grade.

Eg: Result table

Student Asst1 Asst2 Exam
---------- -------- -------- -------
John 12 22 38

Grade query in SQL:

SELECT *, (Asst1+Asst2+Exam) AS TotalMark, (IF(TotalMark > 84.5,'A',IF(TotalMark>64.5,'B',IF(TotalM... AS Grade
FROM Results

Something like that. (Although it is from memory and it didn't double-check syntax in Access...)

Is Kenpo better than Karate?

For 7 years I drove 37 miles each way, 2 hours per class and 4 times a week. Passed my 2nd test and was asked to teach at the new Lake St. school location, and that's a 32 mile round trip.

I have been learning and teaching the art of Kenpo Karate for just over 10 years now. Kenpo is an awesome self defense art with devastating techniques.
